Everything was awesome! Especially, their hospitality is equivalent to a five-star hotel. I misunderstood the breakfast time and came at the ending time, but the staff (maybe Frau Hirsch?) welcomed me and said to me 'langsame, bitte' (You can take your time, please.) Of course, the food they serve was so delicious and a lot of varieties! (buffet style) Four kinds of bottled jam are a must!! Unfortunately, on the day I visited, they had a mega transportation strike across Germany. I talked to another staff (Herr Hirsch?) about what I should do during the stay. And he kindly made recommendations and he was so gentle and generous and flexible. I will definitely come back if I could go to Germany again in the future. Another staff (maybe Tochter/daughter) was so cute and kind, too!

We stayed only for 1 night, wished it was more! Super efficient check in and lovely rooms which had everything in place. The owner went above and beyond to take us into Baden Baden so we could visit the delightful Christmas market. Breakfast was plentiful and relaxed. This truly is a gem of a hotel and we look forward to another visit. The location is stunning also, a quiet residential area on the edge of the Black Forest. 10/10

Hügelsheim is a lovely asparagus-growing village.

Hügelsheim is a lovely asparagus-growing village. Shopping facilities are available. The restaurants were also good. There's even an ice cream parlor. It's very suitable for cyclists, with many bike paths. We particularly enjoyed Rastatt and Baden-Baden.

Hügelsheim is cozy and peaceful, with easy access to hiking...

Hügelsheim is cozy and peaceful, with easy access to hiking trails, opportunities to see amazing things like waterfalls, and visit beautiful towns like Baden-Baden. Unfortunately, Knossi wasn't there at his favorite restaurant! Driving along the Black Forest High Road and stopping at the restaurants along the way was fantastic! We highly recommend it!

An ideal starting point for excursions to the Baden-Baden...

An ideal starting point for excursions to the Baden-Baden area with its Burda Museum and the castles near Rastatt, as well as a short trip to Alsace, France. The Landgasthof zum Hirsch boasts excellent cuisine and parking directly at the property.

The hotel is full of character and tastefully decorated. We were made to feel very welcome by the helpful staff. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and tea/coffee making facilities are available on the ground floor. There is a nice indoor swimming pool & sauna which was perfect at the end of a long day of driving. The hotel is well placed - near the border, for those travelling between France & Germany. We have stayed several times and look forward to our next visit.

The value for money is very good because the hotel is really not very expensive and still close to Baden-Baden so that we needed only 10 minuted to get to Oos. The restaurant is also very good (probably the best in town) but it would be even better if it had more vegetarian meals as well.

I only stayed in the hotel overnight because of its proximity (3,5 km) to the airport. There is a self check-in option, which is quite comfortable if you check in late. The room was clean and spacious.
