I have become a regular here, I just enjoy staying here so much! This place is family-owned and they know how to make their guests happy. Rooms are spacious, suitably equipped, well maintained and clean. Beds are comfortable, the mattress feels just right. Breakfast is a buffet of typical German specialities. Staff is kind and welcoming, and are happy to fulfil reasonable special requests. The restaurant is worth special mention. Tasty, plentiful Bavarian dishes are served for dinner accompanied by good local beer. There are always many locals also visiting, which tells something. Coming on Thursday I couldn't have missed pork knuckle, a Thursday special. And I couldn't resist coming here again just for dinner while on an excursion from Prague to Bavaria! New generation has been gradually taking over management and they have kept the atmosphere of the place, very important!

We stayed here only one night on a business visit and the hotel was fantastic. The room was large and comfortable, and the breakfast was plentiful with freshly cooked eggs. The location is perfect as it is right in the town square near the Basilica and there are a few parking spaces behind the hotel. In any case the parking in the square is free but limited to 2 hours between 8 am and 6 pm....not a problem if you are only parking overnight.

Everything was so clean and looked new. The big tv was a cool suprise, usually hotels have tiny tv’s but not this one. Everything we needed was there, staff was helpful.

Superbly positioned in the woods. Incredible breakfast, not only abundant and with a great choice but with an extraordinary beautiful presentation. The nicest ever in all my travels, and i have been around many places. Exceptional own made whisky, respecting all traditional ways. An unforgettable experience.

The small town of Konnersreuth is very well located and...

The small town of Konnersreuth is very well located and quiet. There's hardly any traffic noise at night. There's a nice little ice cream parlor on Therese Neumannplatz where you can get a scoop of homemade ice cream for €1.30. Konnersreuth is only 8 km from Waldsassen.

The location is somewhat remote; you'd be a bit stranded...

The location is somewhat remote; you'd be a bit stranded without a car! However, other well-known towns and cities are easily accessible, which suited us perfectly! We really enjoyed Waldsassen, Marktredwitz, Tirschenreuth, and Mitterteich. Crossing the border into the Czech Republic, for example to Cheb and Karlovy Vary, is also well worth a visit!

The hotel's central location is a real plus.

The hotel's central location is a real plus. All the sites associated with Therese von Konnersreuth are within walking distance, including the museum, her birthplace, and the forest adventure trail. There's also a lovely ice cream parlor right next door. Everything is very impressive. It was well worth the trip. The birthplace will be fully renovated by spring 2024. Unfortunately, it's currently closed. A good reason to come back.
