Authentic, German experience with little or no tourists.Charming town, old architecture, pedestrian streets. Many friendly, non English -speaking people. Slow pace of life, many bicycles, retired people. Forest walks, (favourite place: Stadwald forest and lake with beergarden wth fabulous food) Also nice is Cosmopolitan garden irestaurant in Krefeld centre with a variety of dishes including Indian (Sri Lankan chef). Also lake swimming, Shopping also good. Dussledorf 30 mins by tram. You can walk around centre easily.Guest review byMary

The member of staff on reception on the morning of 5th November, immediately knew me, I don’t know how with so many rooms in the hotel, and he knew that I had arrived late and asked if everything was good and asked if I had got in ok.
