It was a nice stay. The hotel is situated about 15 minutes on foot away from Dom and just across the street there is a Karstadt center and a big parking. After 7 p.m. and the whole day on Sunday you do not need to pay for a public parking slots along the street. 10 euro per hour is the price for 1 additional hour of late-check-out (up to 3 hours)

Residenz Joop is located in a beautiful villa area, at walking distance from the center of Magdeburg. We were travelling with our dog and made a pre-arrangement with the hotel to take our four-legged friend with us, which was absolutely no problem. Public parking in the streets near the hotel was generally not a problem (however, don´t forget the mandatory green badge for the applicable low emission zone). We would highly recommend Residenz Joop for a stay in Magdeburg.

The hotel is very nice, clean, quite and central. It was amazing that the main city attractions and shops were around and there are two tram stops nearby where almost all city trams pass. The beds were comfortable. Even though we had a double bed with two mattresses, one could pleasantly sleep in the middle.
