Well, we expected this hotel to be good ! It wasn't good... it was really really great. From the moment we arrived, we felt I to was going to be special and we were right.  Our host, Christina, brought us to our room (a Deluxe Queen Suite) and we loved it straight away. It had everything and more than we expected. It overlooked the Haidplaz so we had a prime view on all the activity going on below... but the windows were so good, we could shut out the noise if and when we wanted.  The large bed was superbly comfortable. The room was also large so we had lots of space. The bathroom was a perfect size and everything was spotlessly clean. The cooking area was well equipped and very functional.  Breakfast was wonderful... A great choice of food, in lovely surroundings... a super way to start the day. Christina was so welcoming & lovely and she gave us great background to the hotel's history, the oldest part of which dates back to 1230, and its links to famous people through the ages. The other staff that we met were very pleasant & smiley and so helpful.  The location of the hotel is perfect and all the sights are within easy walking distance... as is the train station. There is also two free bus routes (A & B) that pass by the hotel to take you around the city, if you want them.  The tourist office has a free app that gives you a marvelous walking tour of the city. Regensburg is a special gem - very beautiful - not too big and not too small. Our top picks are the Bavarian Historical Museum, closely followed by the Thurn und Taxis Palace.. both are simply brilliant but in very different ways. There are tons of bars and restaurants within easy reach of the hotel. We would highly recommend a stay in Hotel Goldnes Kreus.

The staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was one of the best I have seen in any of the accommodations we stayed in during our journey from England to Hungary and back. The village was pretty and quiet. I had a relaxing walk around the village with my dog. There is a lake just 15 minutes away from the guesthouse and you can also walk along the Danube. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for breakfast.

The location of the hotel is very nice.

The location of the hotel is very nice. Super friendly staff and very accommodating. On pur way out, we were asked if we would like to take something to eat like fruit or bread. Woooow, this was the very first time that I was offered this kind of service. The room was so clean, the hotel was also very clean, not too big but lovely. The staff really spent a lot of time talking to you and making our stay very satisfying. I will definitely comeback to this hotel. This hotel and the staff deserves a very big 10 as review.

The location was perfect for us as we had to pick a rental motorhome only a few Kms away- but the local bus also took us there. Excellent shopping in Neutraubling (Regatta Sport Outlet shop). Kitchen facilities were great- shower fabulous- clean and modern. We are not fans of single doonas for a double bed but it seems to be the european way.

It's a former Monastery building, and like it's somehow blessed. Very inspiring for my job and mission thoughts. The athmosfphere of the Hotel, both interior exterior is great. The service and the staff are friendly and responsive. Glad to be their loyal customer.
