Everything was fine, there was nothing to complain about. The place has a special athmosphere, it is the characteristic mixture of an East German commyblock and of the architecture of the early 90s (meanwhile everything works perfectly and the place is kept tidy and clean) so for those who had no experience of the Eastern Block from before 1990 can get a hint of that era, meanwhile the hotel provides a very good value for price service. I absolutely recomend it.

Very nice and clean property. Suited us well on our one night stay in the middle of the long drive. There's nice shop and bakery just down the road if someone wants some lovely German products (beer, sausages, pastries). I haven't tried breakfast but it looked tempting. Nice staff.

Rötha isn't particularly exciting, but it's conveniently located for getting to Leipzig and very close to swimming spots. It's quiet. Perfect as a place to stay overnight if you want to explore Leipzig and/or easily reach the swimming areas in summer.

To escape the daily grind, the lakes around Leipzig are an ideal place. Cars and bicycles are the most common modes of transport in this region. While the selected hotel is very conveniently located for exploring several lakes, it has considerable potential for improvement in terms of its outdoor facilities, exterior appearance, room allocation, and interior design.

Since we couldn't find accommodation in Leipzig at that time...

Since we couldn't find accommodation in Leipzig at that time, we opted for Rötha. The journey from Rötha to Leipzig is easily and quickly made by car. The hotel staff and the owner were exceptionally friendly and helpful. A big plus regarding the amenities: a refrigerator in the room.

We didn't see Rötha at all.

We didn't see Rötha at all. The place is called Neukieritzsch, a new development area. It's a fantastic location, and it would be desirable for development to be limited in order to preserve the idyllic setting.

Rötha is centrally located among several lakes.

Rötha is centrally located among several lakes. It's ideal for starting a bike tour from the hotel. We cycled around Lake Störmthal, Lake Markkleeberg, and the Rötha Reservoir, including Lake Hainer. Everything worked perfectly from the hotel, and they are all beautiful lakes.

We were only there for three nights and didn't see much of...

We were only there for three nights and didn't see much of the town because it rained a lot. The water in Lake Hainer is very pleasant for swimming. However, I recommend bringing swim shoes. We ate at an Italian restaurant there, which was very good. In sunny weather, it's a lovely place for a short break, especially since Leipzig is nearby.
