    Good as the base for outdoor activities like hiking and biking. Our kind of vacation wasn't based on what the town has to offer, but on the surrounding nature, so I can't say much about the tourist's attractions in the town. Sometimes there's a problem to find a place to eat. You have to reserve a place in the restaurant in order to get there. The fact that most of the restaurants have the same days off is not helping too. Generally speaking, nice place. Not cheap though.

    Schluchsee is lovely.

    Schluchsee is lovely. The location is perfect, 20min to titisee and, 20 min to feldberg (highest peak with cable lifts), 50 min to schaffhaussen or basel, 50 min to Freiburg. In the summer period the see is so nice with boats and beaches everywhere. Just a great place

    Its location on the Schluchsee was perfect. There's a railroad and road directly beside the hotel but we didn't notice either of them. The view from room 22 and restaurant is lovely. Spending the evenings in the garden on the bank of the lake were wonderful. The waitress in the restaurant was top class (weekend 11./12. Aug).

    This was a lovely hotel we stayed in for 3 nights - perfect for our time in the area. We speak no German so very much appreciated the staff talking to us in English. Breakfast was good and the rooms comfortable. If we return to Schluchsee we shall stay here again

    It is situated in a very quiet village in the mountains of the Black Forest. About 10 minutes to Lake Schuchsee. It's a very scenic area, room was clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast and a good dinner was had in the hotel restaurant.
