Unique stay experience in a 700 yrs old castle. Love the whole experience. The lady at the reception is really lovely and she assigned us a nice room with great views. Food at the restaurant is exceptional, every dish was well executed! The mix of flavours, texture and look of each dish is perfect!

There is no doubt that the village is charming with its'...

There is no doubt that the village is charming with its' historic buildings but sadly that is all it can offer. Go there for an hour or two and if you're lucky you might manage to get a drink somewhere, just to see the place. It simply doesn't cater for tourists - the restaurants don't seem to want any business! They are either closed, full or will only accept people who have made a reservation! Very disappointed and would never return there again. We ended up driving to Coburg just to get something to eat at 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon!

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for...

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. It's best to enjoy nature and go on excursions with your dog. There are many ruins, festivals, and castles... The people there are exceptionally kind and friendly. There's great food and lovely beer gardens nearby. You'll also find cafés and homemade cakes. And don't forget the delicious home-brewed beer from the Seßlach community brewery.

The holiday home isn't located in Seßlach itself, but in a district of the town. Therefore, you always need a car if you want to eat out in the evening. The restaurants we visited were quaint but lovely. The food was excellent everywhere, and the hiking trails were fantastic.

Seßlach, with its half-timbered houses, completely preserved...

Seßlach, with its half-timbered houses, completely preserved town wall, and three medieval gates, is truly special. Its location on the Castle Road makes it easy to visit several interesting places, such as Forchheim and Bamberg, or to explore the numerous castles, fortresses, and ruins along the route.

A truly beautiful old town with many sights such as the city...

A truly beautiful old town with many sights such as the city wall, churches, and much more. Not many cars in the city center. Good selection of restaurants. Good beer. Beautiful surroundings, ideal for hiking, cycling, and walking. Relatively short distance to Coburg, Thuringia, and other destinations.

A truly interesting little town with a rich history, which...

A truly interesting little town with a rich history, which can be explored and visited in a short time. What we absolutely didn't like was the fast, reckless car traffic. It should be banned in the town center!
