Cosy little apartment for an overnight stay. We ordered food from the pizza take out under the air bnb and they gave us discount, it was very tasty also. Apartment had everything we needed and we had a good nights rest.

Very friendly Hotel. Everything has been furnished and designed with the former prison theme. The rooms (cells) are basically furnished with unpainted steel and wood. Comfortable beds, good shower and German Bread and Water provided in the room. Very good breakfast with a wide range of bakery items, cereals, cheese, meats etc and beverages. The Hotel forms part of the Wall which circles the entire old Amberg town.

Our stay was short, but we had a wonderful time at the Bootshaus Amberg. Rooms decorated with taste and attention to details, beautiful views from the window, delicious breakfast and friendly service. I definitely recommend!

Check in was easy. If you are coming really early or late, might want to clarify this. It's not a traditional hotel set up. Parking out front and easy. Was very quiet. Snacks and drinks in room for purchase. Nespresso machine in room. Room was clean, small, very small but comfortable. Storage was respectable for so small a room. Good value for price.

The hotel staff are very nice people. The rooms are nice and the perfect size. There are 4 food establishments within a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The pear juice they serve for breakfast is good.
