Location is perfect. Staff very helpfull, nice, did all the best. Room was clean, with comfortable bed. Pool was with amazing view, all nights with sounds of sea lions. They looked and made for us the best excursion.

Ivan, Soledad and all others try very hard to make your visit in the hotel unforgettable! Ivan answers every mail carefully and quickly, reserves ferry tickets for you or tours on the island. Pick up from the airport, drive to La Loberia or the ferry is free. Wonderful service! My room was spacious, with a big beautiful terrace with sea view, fridge and hot shower. Soledad cares for everything! Drinking water is free. 5 minutes walking to playa Mann, where the sealions are waiting and swimming is gorgeous. 5 minutes more to the entrance of the NP. Perfect place for perfect holidays! Best hotel on the Galapagos! Soledad, you are right, San Cristóbal is the nicest island! Thanks! Thanks Ivan! I will come back!

Location is perfect, just 100m from main road and pier. Rooms are clean with a beautiful sea view, which can be enjoyed from a comfortable balcony hammock! Eduardo is an excellent and helpful host who knows the Island in and out. He prepares tasty breakfast with fresh juices, coffee/tea, eggs, cereal, etc. + some local specialty. He also helped organizing a driver for an island tour to see El Junco crater lake and the giant tortoise ending at a beautiful beach swim with the sea lions. There are good restaurants next door, e.g. INTI Garden organic kitchen with Italian flavour, and Midori Sushi pub. And the 50+ sea lions at the pier surprise daily blending perfectly with humans. It was a really nice stay at Royal Galapagos Inn - highly recommended. I will definitely come back again!

The port is great with parks, piers and bay views. The interpretation center is also a good place to visit, not only the museum displays but also the hiking to the hills for panoramic views of the ocean, yes, you can see Kicker Rock with naked eyes, but also to the beaches free of guides. Best of all is the 360 tour to fully enjoy the beauties of the island.

Such a lovable and sweet place.

Such a lovable and sweet place. Not much going on during the night but if you‘d like to enter in contact with the nature, see incredible sunsets, meet nice people and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, this is your place.

Great place to stay if you are not doing a cruise around the islands. Friendly people, choices of places to eat. Some are quite expensive, but if you check around there are other alternatives. Peaceful and quiet with options of daily trips available. Very yummy bakery!

Puerto Barquerizo Moreno is a great center of San Cristobal...

Puerto Barquerizo Moreno is a great center of San Cristobal where you encounter sea lions on the beach along the main street. It is also full of charming restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops where prices are more reasonable than Santa Cruz.

I enjoyed walking in direction to Bahia Tijeretas, Playa Baquerizo, Playa La Loberia, Las Negritas view and also to the local mine near the airport. The evening / dinner in The Pier restaurant was excellent. The afternoon trip to El Junco volcano, Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado was not worth the money, although swimming near Playa Puerto Chino was nice.

I came for a volunteer trip during which we did the 360 boat...

I came for a volunteer trip during which we did the 360 boat tour (snorkeling in 3 locations) and a trip to the highlands together (2 separate days). I stayed 3 extra days alone, which is either not enough or just enough depending on what you want to do. I do NOT recommend staying the entire time on San Cristobal because you’ll run out of things to do but I found out too late that a day trip to Santa Cruz is better if you can dedicate 1.5-2 full days (depart a 7 am and return the next morning or afternoon). A same day trip only gives you about 7 hours before you have to return. To go to Isabela requires 2 separate boat trips and at least half a day (not sure about Española but it is currently closed). You can visit all the major beaches in 1-2 days but anything else on the island requires a booked boat trip so if you want to snorkel in every single spot you need to spend probably 5 days minimum. Snorkeling every single day isn’t for me so depending on your interests, plan accordingly. Except for Playa Mann, most of the beaches are a little far and/or require a hike over lava rocks to access so bring good walking shoes over sandals if you have to pick. Overall after 3 more days I was bored and ready to leave, but if I had more time to visit the other islands I would probably have felt differently!

It is a very nice hotel, just a 10-minute walk from the center and port and a 15-minute walk from the airport. The staff of the place are extremely friendly and ready to help you with everything. The breakfast is decent - a fruit salad, egg, bread, and juice, which changes daily. The Internet was okay compared to other experiences in the Galapagos. The room has an AC, which is a must when staying in the summer. Overall, it is a great value for the money.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough. We stayed 6 nights. Gaby, who runs it helped us book tours and all our ferries (ahead of time) and helped us with everything we asked for - she’s a legend and so welcoming. It was clean, has great sea breezes and views, the wifi was excellent, and they provide tea/coffee/filtered water. Great value for money. The location was good too because you’re a 5 min walk from the centre but not in the hustle and bustle.
