Great location, very close to the spa. The appartment was well equipped, with all the comforts, Air conditioning, microwave, hairdrier, TV... And even a private pool with sun loungers to freshen up and sunbathed. The village is a hidden little gem and the hostess was very informative about the area and local products. She was very kind and helpful allowing us to wait in her little shop till our lift arrived. A very relaxing and pleasant stay.

The roman bath circuit was amazing.

The roman bath circuit was amazing. It includes a long soak in the natural spring waters (heated thank goodness), inhalations of the waters, cold/hot showers depending on your needs and a great massage to finish. Extreme relaxation ensues! Thoroughly recommendable. You can walk around in the bathrobe that's in your room, or they give you one in the changing rooms of the spa. The outdoor pool is surrounded by beautiful, lush gardens - the water in the pool is very cold! You have to wear a bathing hat in all the pools - they give you one if you haven't brought one.

The attentiveness and tranquility. The scenery with the nearby reservoir. The chance to get lost in the narrow streets. The opportunity to enjoy homemade food. The trails and places like the hot springs, the spa, and the reservoir beach.

An ideal place to disconnect and spend a few days in total...

An ideal place to disconnect and spend a few days in total relaxation. No noise or crowds (for now). An oasis in the Extremaduran climate in August. Everything is perfect. The Roman-era spa. The local cuisine, the walk through the Castle hill and around the reservoir. With Mérida very close by and all there is to see if you're interested. A top-notch destination.

The town itself is nothing special.

The town itself is nothing special. A decent park is sorely missed; we couldn't find anything for our little one to play on—one slide was sweltering, another had a broken swing... Services are minimal; I couldn't find a single shop after driving around the town three times. There are bars, yes, and a cheap gas station. Anything other than using the spa or as a base for getting around is out of the question.

Wonderful hotel and spa, perfect for spending two days there...

Wonderful hotel and spa, perfect for spending two days there; and the reservoir is highly recommended. For those who are able to walk, climbing to the castle must be fantastic. Otherwise, the town isn't much to write home about, but Mérida and Don Benito are very close by.

First impression on entering the hotel is the style of the Grand Hotel, so quite impressive (although it's quite modern.) the room was comfortable with good storage. The breakfast was quite good with reasonable choice. Parking was easy and free in the public parking opposite (mid-September) The chairs in the central patio area were comfortable.

Cozy apartments located in Alange. Carolina was very friendly and hospitable. We were introduced to several sites locally and in Merida and nearby towns . The breakfast was amazing as we got to try her handmade jams ! Will definitely come back
