Beautiful quiet village, located on the Via de Plata Camino.
Beautiful quiet village, located on the Via de Plata Camino. A visit to the local church was worthwhile.
Great place to rest a day or two if required or use as a base to tour the area. Merida is 20km away!

A very warm welcome from the owner. Large bedroom. Great facilities ( full kitchen, access to garden to wash and dry clothes as we are walking the Via de la Plata)., quiet building. Aljucen is a small village but it was a perfect village to rest.We also could buy food at the store which was very convenient for us . In addition there was coffee for free and a kettle and tea bags in our bedroom.

It is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. I would highly recommend Casa Rural la Plata. The town of Aljucén is also lovely and a great place to stay when walking the Camino Via de la Plata. The 15th Centuary Church of St. Andrew (also my first name) is also a nice place to say a prayer or to meditate. The church is open for most of the day. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Very smart, attractive accommodation in the heart of tiny Aljucen. our bikes were safely stored in a private courtyard and we were able to purchase some food supplies for a picnic dinner in the small shop, also managed by our hosts.
There was a comfortable shared lounge/ kitchen, a coffee machine

I stayed at this hotel during my Camino. I will remember the relaxing and soothing atmosphere of this place for years. One of the best hotels in my life. Every detail - the interior, the scents, the softly playing music in the corridor - immerses you in the atmosphere of Rome.

Carmen gave clear, interesting information about the Roman house, baths and dinner. The hotel was beautifully decorated, the baths were very relaxing, the dinner was tasty and plentiful. As walkers on the Camino, this was a welcome respite.
