Pretty small town with many eating options but very limited grocery options. We were advised not to drink tap water, buy bottled as the town is chronically short of water capacity, awaiting a new well supply. We are in our hotel sa Baronia - the sunset view was wonderful

Banyalbufar is one of most beautiful and peaceful I've been in! If you want quiet and solitude mixed with meaningful interactions and saying hi to everyone in the city, than this is the place for you. The sense of community here is strong, and as a woman I felt very safe in the streets, very much so that we were walking at midnight on the streets and everything felt ok. Easy access by bus from Palma, being the first time I rented a taxi but next time I will take the bus. Cheaper and it's the same road. Every restaurant you walk in has good food and friendly staff you have street view places, sea side views, you can choose . It is very easy to get around Banyalbufar by walking (don't recommend your own car because it's extremely hard to have a parking spot there). I loved that we were exploring randomly between houses and buildings and we we're so surprised of the many little streets and places we were discovering on our walks! Beautiful sights, beautiful architecture, everything is perfect there! Be mindful of your behavior there, don't disturb, don't litter, be friendly and your experience with the locals will be unforgetful !

Accommodations were clean & adequate for our needs (we don't visit places to stay in rooms). We wanted a nice place to stay while we went exploring the Island via rental car. In evenings, we ate mostly at local restaurants and we did not have a bad meal; in fact, most were quite good in terms of nutrition and portion size, and reasonably priced. And the food was always fresh. The biggest issue for us was parking & driving; the rental agency gave us a big Jeep and it was a pain to drive on some of the small (tiny, narrow, curvy) roads we drove on when exploring other parts of the Island

We stayed 3 days in this absolute gem of a place.

We stayed 3 days in this absolute gem of a place. We counted at least 7 eating options and a variety of shops. It's a very historic village which clings to the hillside with cultivation terraces all the way down to the coast. A rewarding stay after the narrow and winding road to get there.

Banyalbufar is a small mountainside village of about 500 residents which is swollen by holday home owners and tourists in summer. Not recommended for people with mobility issues! Steps and steep inclines all over. Restaurants that we used were good and there is a convenience store and a pharmacy. They all close a least one day a week. There is a beach but its a long way down from the main drag and its stony. If you enjoy dramatic views and sipping drinks on terraces whilst watching the sunset, it's fabulous!

Banyalbufar was lovely, peaceful and unspoilt when we visited in early July. The quality and selection of restaurants all within easy walking distance of the hotel was a really nice surprise. We took our 6 year old to the beach and thought it was fine for kids her age if they don't mind the steep walk home but you'd want to take a sunshade and maybe rock shoes as it can be slippery and hot on the rocks.

The hotel is very charming and nice for a short stay, but for a longer holiday it feels a bit too remote. Breakfast was tasty, though more variety would have been appreciated. Cleanliness could definitely be improved – unfortunately, a stained blanket was repeatedly put back on the bed instead of being replaced.

What an absolute gem! A beautiful little family run hotel. The breakfast is a delight, using all locally sourced/grown produces. If you stay you must eat in the restaurant….I’ve never tasted fish like it! The beds are super comfy. If you only book one night - then you will wish you’d stayed longer.
