Prime location: a few steps from the only main square in Competa, and yet very silent. Superb two-tiered roof terraces. Delightful attention to detail in the renovation of this 100+ year old house: original locks, tiling, windows& doors were kept and rooms smartly and discretely redesigned to suit modern standards (wet areas & heating). The owners obviously wished to share their dream of a loving happy place to live. Prices are very decent given the quality. Ideal for solos, couples and families. I shall return.

Great location overlooking the plaza. Maurice gave us a warm welcome and provided lots of information about the area. The rooftop honesty bar had beautiful views. Breakfast on the rooftop was a daily surprise cooked by Maurice. A fabulous place to stay and highly recommended.

The apartment was newly renovated and had everything we needed. And the pool area was spectacular with amazing views. We only stayed one night because we had another booking already paid, otherwise we would have stayed more nights, for sure. A big thanks to Christianne and Wayne, the hosts, for their hospitality. When I visited this place, it opened just a few months. You have to think of it as a hotel where you can use the kitchen, the lobby, the dining area, the roof terrace,... the design and furnishing was sober but cosy! Also the fact that you can kook yourselves in a very large kitchen (8 pits, 2 sinks, many different worktops,...) is a real real plus. If you need to be in that area, this is a must-go.

    Lovely little town (village) some small places around ti visit as well. Bike rental shop in the centre, lots of restaurants, bars, some flat paths buts mainly up and down the hill. Safe, quiet place, great community.Good internet signal in town.

    Cómpeta is a small, beautiful and quaint little town on the Andalusia mountains, surrounded by wineries and winding roads. Cute little restaurants, bars and cafés for eating or watching the world go by. You can drive to the town square but it's easiest to walk around and explore the little alleys and shops. It has a slight hippie vibe to it with many crystal shops. Very queer friendly. We spotted raindow flags all around the city and tons of queer folk. Would recommend for anyone looking for a little escape from the city.

    A lovely location.

    A lovely location. Well worth visiting this incredible Spanish village. Very welcoming and friendly. Evening meal enjoyed at small restaurant in the central square enjoyed immensely. Great experience exploring and wandering the streets of the Old Town and experiencing what one imagines is the real Spanish lifestyle. Town market on Saturday. Several streets fairly steep and suggest bearing this in mind.

    We rented this property for our young adult children for a week's stay as we live in the village. It was perfect for their needs and really good value for money. They had a fantastic stay and we will definitely recommend this little house to our guests who are looking for great simple but cozy self-accommodation when visiting Competa.

    This is a hostel located right in the centre of Competa, communal kitchen all brand new, tea & coffee provided, very large communal space. Bedroom & bathroom tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Rafa the host was very helpful and always contactable. We will be returning on our next visit to Competa.
