Clean & comfortable hotel located next to the main A62 which was great for our journey to middle Portugal. Hotel Accepts dog for a small fee. Great room for us as it had a small balcony. Has a restaurant but didn’t seem to open but the snack bar had a goo selection to offer.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was amazing, staff spoke great English and the chef explained everything he served so I understood the Spanish dishes, this has the be one of the best alberges on the comino by far. Super clean well equipped.

Bedroom was comfy. Downstairs the stove made it very cosy. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and nice to have tea and coffee there. It was a great stop on a cold wet day walking on camino!

The price. Facilities were very clean. Has a kitchenette, washing machine and heater. Breakfast was also included which we were surprised. The hostess was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

This was a great little albergue in a very memorable small town. There were paid laundry and free (hand wash) laundry facilities, a group dinner offered (it was nice!), good backpack storage. Also, if you are a pilgrim who arrives when there is no food available, continue on to the far end of town and hit up the restaurant at the end on the right. They were very hospitable and served great food all day long!

The hosts, their stories, and their care for their guests are what are special about this place. We had one of the best breakfasts on the Camino, and the host told us family stories that made our stay in De Sol A Sol most special. The casa rural also has many pilgrim portrait photos hanging (you can book a photo shoot), which added character to the place. The place is also directly on the Camino!

What I really enjoyed about this location is that each bed had its own assigned storage bin, along with a hook and power outlet by the bed. Often, you're struggling to find these in an albergue. Plus, each bed had its own light. The Pilgrim dinner was delicious!
