Casanaga is one of maybe a handful of hostels around the world that I've been to (several dozens) that has really left nothing to be desired at all. First of all, the surrounding area and nature is nothing short of breathtaking! Several not crowded beaches at walking distance, which are also popular and pretty good for surfing (although maybe less so for beginners). The mountains in the back offer great hikes with stunning views for all levels and desires. The town is a bit sleepy, which I consider a nice change from the hustle and bustle elsewhere on the island. Here you are actually more likely to bump into a local (or a bunch of cats) than into other tourists. The hostel itself isn't huge, so it has a really personal atmosphere to it. You quickly stop to feel like a guest and rather become a (new) friend with everybody around, including the staff. Ollie the owner (a genuinely nice guy and true character) is present almost all day and looking after many of the things himself. He and the whole lovely crew have given so much thought into nearly every detail. They are super organised (cards accepted!), yet still relaxed and flexible enough for individual requests and wishes (reasonable ones). The breakfast is really big and varied and the optional dinners are just fantastic and very fairly priced. They keep a small selection of drinks that includes surprisingly good wines (both red and white), again at reasonable prices. Beds are huge and comfortable (for hostel standards), facilities are really clean, the kitchen is big and has all one could wish for. There is enough space and hangers for everybody's things plus a big desk for digital nomads or people who still need to organise parts of their trip or work on something else. The highlight is probably the rooftop terrace where also the meals are served, with a wonderful view over the coastline.

It is a brand new apartment which has been stylishly and tastefully decorated. The views are amazing, so are the hammock and the sun loungers. It is amazing to cook dinner and have the big windows to the terrace. Everything is comfortable and clean. Supermarkets and the beach are close and the hosts are responsive and kind.

The apartments are located in an incredibly beautiful place! They are very close to Santa Cruz de Tenerife (15 minutes by car), but at the same time in a completely secluded place on the ocean shore, next to the Anaga Natural Park. First, you drive into a guarded parking lot by car, and then the elevator takes you down (!!!) to your apartment and the ocean! Very unusual! Near the house there is a private beach with sun loungers and barbecue zone. The apartments are very comfortable and clean. In the bedroom there is a large comfortable double bed and a fold-out double sofa in the living room. There also is another bed, a dining table and sun loungers on the spacious terrace that overlooks the ocean. We had a wonderful stay! We will definitely come back!

It's a wonderful small village, perfect if you are looking for a more intimate experience than what the concrete jungle and touristy south part offers. The apartment is in a really good place, close to the best beach on the island, and there are also many nice local restaurants worth to be experinced. Grocery stores are also close, the parking at the street can be challenging but there's a big public parking spot 5 mins by walking, so it's perfectly fine.

The location in Almaciga is great, this place has beautiful views from the magnificent rooftop terrace. We stayed with a young baby which is perfect with the extra room. There is a small bar 50m from the apartment that serves food and drinks all day, and a small shop beneath the apartment that has bread, fruit, veggies and basic supplies.

The property is in an amazing loacation with amazing views! The keys were super easy to get and there was parking right on site for us. The interior of the property was nicely made up and was beautifully decorated. The ocean was right out the windows and sounds of the waves crashing was amazing. The host was very nice and helpful and even though there was a language barrier that didnt change anything! Helped us with anything we needed and would definitely rent from him again!

Very nice, unspoiled village.

Very nice, unspoiled village. No facilities, though, apart from two very tiny shops catering to the locals. Getting anywhere does take some driving, but not a problem for us -- the remoteness is a big part of the charm. Beautiful road anyway...
