Location is absolutely fantastic, bang in the middle of Old Town. Local market hall on the other side of the road, brilliant for breakfast (as market not open on Sundays) Also good atmosphere Saturday evening. Staff so helpfull and nice. The bar is really fantastic as well.

My favourite hotel. We come once a year to be spoiled by its beautiful situation and lovely staff. To sit on the balcony whilst the palm trees are swaying in the wind, gazing over the beautiful garden with the waves rumbling and tumbling on the nearby golden sand is as near perfection as you can get.

Port end of Javea is a bit quieter but very nice and picturesque. More of a family resort, but Arunel beach is more lively. Javea has everything you need shops, nice beach, lovely restaurants, clubs great for a short break.

Very pleasant resort with several distinct areas and lots to do nearby - loads of choice for eating and shopping at all budgets, great sandy beach (Arenal) for families but also many smaller attractive shingle coves nearby - very useful tram for getting around the town. Nature on your doorstep. A car would be a bonus for visiting nearby resorts like Moraira and Calpe.

We love Javea and in fact lived there for 35 years and have...

We love Javea and in fact lived there for 35 years and have family and friends there. There are three main areas - the old town the Port ((el Puerto) and the beach area (el Arenal). There´s a bus service linking the three, also taxis. There's a lovely sandy beach with a great promenade with lots of shops and restaurants, a popular place to go in the evening when it´s all lit up. Lots of good restaurants but our favourite ic Chabada! In the Port you can watch the fishing boats come home in the afternoon, and the fish being sold. (The place to buy your fresh fish!) Lots of places to have a drive out to visit. Market day in the old town is Thursday. The mountain is called Montgo and from a distance looks like an elephant lying down and looking out to see. (His eye is a cave you can still go into to see prehistoric cave paintings. A great family holiday in a lovely resort where there are quite a lot of English people living all year round. Try a boat trip from the Port.

Javea has everything to offer both families and couples.

Javea has everything to offer both families and couples. There is a good choice of restaurants and shops. We stay in the Port and can highly recommend Sunny's Bar. Pepe's Pizzeria on the Arenal serves authentic wood fired pizzas, Kathmandu is value for money for Nepalese food. For us the Arenal beach is too crowded now. We like the tranquility of the rocky beach at Cala Blanca where it is good for snorkelling and there is a good beach bar called La Coleta.

Javea is becoming a very popular holiday destination and has become very cosmopolitan . Very good restaurants and bars and lovely beach. The port is also within walking distance and has lots to offer. The area is very busy in the high season. Lots of Spanish traditions can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Difficult weekend to judge as there was a vintage sailboat...

Difficult weekend to judge as there was a vintage sailboat regatta on all weekend which drew crowds into the town. It is also the beginning of Spanish school holidays so was busier than when we have been at other times. There are literally restuarants and cafe / bars everywhere at all levels of expenditure, We stayed in the port area only and were well provided for. Try and eat at the Attico restaurant on the top floor of the Hotel Javea you will not be disappointed, but book WELL in advance direct with the restaurant.

This hotel is fantastic. May require a taxi to the beach but not far 6 euros. Quite small rooms but ours had a fantastic large terrace with wardrobe seats table kettle and mini bar. Room 110 looks onto the amazing swimming pool. Beautiful furniture inside with lot's of locals going for meals. Great outdoor terrace and what fabulous Chinese food.

I always use this hotel in the winter for a stay, the price is excellent and you can get sea view rooms if you pay a little extra. The reception area is always beautifully decorated and the rooms are modern and comfortable. Location is great at the port end of town....
