I took a gamble in using this Accomadation because it was out of the way from Guardo, but it paid-off, even though my transportation to the property was difficult, ie. Train disruption and bad weather. My previous research stood me in good stead. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, the brave are rewarded. Please try the Soup, Olives and especially the local Honey, yum, yum. For such a cold night the room was pleasantly warm.

A lovely little apartment in Espinama, just off the main road. Check-in was in the Hotel (blue building) and parking provided down the narrow lane and around the back of the red building/apartments. Lovely and quiet. A few options for eating out. But such a wonderful location. Espinama and most particularly the Picos de Europa - one of the most beautiful places I've seen in Spain. And Spain is obviously abundant with amazing places! :-)

A peaceful place, surrounded by nature and water.

A peaceful place, surrounded by nature and water. Beautiful landscapes are just a short distance from the house: Valdeón, Maraña, Puerto de Las Portillas, Montaña de Riaño, and Mampodre. I traveled by car. I would recommend staying longer; it's an area with much to see for nature lovers.

A very peaceful mountain village.

A very peaceful mountain village. Ideal for couples or families with young children. Located right at the entrance to the Picos de Europa mountains. Plenty of options for nature activities and water sports at the Riaño reservoir, just 5 minutes away. Many restaurants with good prices and delicious food.

It's a small village nestled in nature, offering absolute...

It's a small village nestled in nature, offering absolute tranquility and preserving the typical charm and appearance of these types of villages. Very close by (10 minutes by car) is the Riaño reservoir, with a wide range of activities (canoeing, paddle boating, skating, etc.). There are also other small villages nearby worth visiting.
