This fascinating property had been lovingly restored and modernised by the most delightful couple. Lots of old stone, artefacts from the grounds had been thoughtfully refashioned, all alongside modern furnishings. It felt quite a privilege to be enjoying this Old building which had had new life breathed into it. We had a very tasty 3 course dinner and breakfast was truly excellent. I could not recommend this delightful property more highly. Just sad that we will probably never travel this road again. The owners spent time chatting to us telling us about the renovation journey and we left feeling as though we were old friends.

Such a beautiful and unique hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The decor is amazing, the service is incredible, the breakfast was superb quality, and the room is super comfortable. We loved the forest and mountain views from the room, the heated floor in the bathroom and the amazing bath tub. The spa experience in the nearby rural house was incredible as we had the whole place to ourselves and they were very flexible when we had to change the time of our spa reservation. Thank you for making it a birthday to remember!
