The house is out of this world.,built with so much good taste. It’s located in a small village so you can get a taste of the canarian life. Massive terrace , big garden, great big rooms with a lot of light and windows for fresh air and i can keep going. You have great food across the road, a playground for kids, shops close by, butchery , pharmacy, confectionery with amazing cakes etc. It is located 15 minutes each way from market,beach,shopping mall and one of the biggest attraction(rancho texas) . The host is amazing, so helpful and easy to talk to. Thank you Johana for an amazing holiday.

Lovely decor, clean sleek lines , spacious rooms with great bathrooms, lovely balcony and all really well maintained. We were there mid December and never a problem for beds at the pool or never queues at the buffet. Breakfast buffet was fabulous and ran until 11am which was great, especially if you wanted to get in a yoga or Pilates class before breakfast. One of our main criteria in booking were the spa and fitness classes all included and it didn’t disappoint. There were 3 classes each morning running from 9am - yoga, aerial yoga or Pilates first two session then followed by aqua fit in the pool and then usually stretching/ yoga options also late afternoon - all really well run and never overcrowded- although with only 6 places for aerial yoga it was sometimes oversubscribed , but never an issue as you could follow similar poses on the ground 😉. Spa consisted of a small sauna and steam room - not the biggest but again we were mostly the only ones there. Jacuzzi and bubble beds were located outside and were a bitty chilly due to the time of year. Staff were lovely and always helpful. All in all a fabulous hotel, we would go back !

Good central location to base yourself if you have a car. Because it is in the centre of the island nothing we wanted to visit ever seemed more than 20 to 50 minutes away by car. A very reasonable and pleasant residential area to based yourself from without itself being a destination. We were very pleased to base ourselves there.

Central location -- easy drives to all island's attractions. Lacks adequate tourist infrastructure - less than handful of reasonable cafes, restaurants, supermarkets that close in the afternoon or early evening. Most tourists apartments are in the new developments of cookie cutter projects at the margins of town. Must have a car to shop or eat out, and struggle for parking.

San Bartolomé is advantageous for two reasons: it is located...

San Bartolomé is advantageous for two reasons: it is located in the middle of the island, so all attractions can be reached within a 40-minute drive. The other benefit is the friendly locals. However, we couldn't reach taxi services in the area, and there aren't many attractions within the town itself. Despite this, I don't regret spending my time on the island in this town. If you rent a car, it could be a perfect choice for you as well.

Not much to see on San Bartolomo.

Not much to see on San Bartolomo. A couple of hours walking around would be enough. There is a nice little museum and some lovely statues around the town. We could not find a restaurant open in the evenings but there are a couple of bars that serve pretty good food and a pizza place. We were there in January so it may be low season and restaurants close. It's quite handy if you have a car because it's a good centre for seeing the rest of the island The people were generally polite, nice and helpful. The town itself is spotlessly clean and the white buildings sparkle.

The numerous wineries that surround the town are mostly...

The numerous wineries that surround the town are mostly within walking distance. And so is the famous Casa Museo des Campesino. The local authorities could have done more to popularise it, though. At the moment there is no tourist information office in torn. Fortunately, we managed to get some information from the staff of the Ethnographic Museum, which is worth visiting in its own right too.

The hotel was situated on its own site at La Florida about a 20 minute walk into San Bartolome. San Bartolome was pleasant enough but uninspiring compared to typical Spanish towns of that size based on my experience. I didn't use many facilities in the town as everything I required was at the hotel in La Florida.

A cozy, nicely decorated in a minimalist style, clean apartment. Everything was new. Comfortable bed and foam pillows. A small sunny balcony to drink coffee with a view of the palm tree and the volcano. Smart TV with YouTube and AmazonPrime. The most important thing is the location in San Bartolome. A truly authentic, nice Spanish town with a historic part. Location in the center of the island, everything is within easy reach. I recommend eating something in nearby towns at a teleclub, e.g. in Mozaga. I was delighted.

Our stay at El Grifo was truly exceptional. The hotel offers a serene atmosphere, and the staff were remarkably attentive and kind, making us feel genuinely welcome. The room, decorated in traditional Canarian style, was beautifully appointed, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. We would return without hesitation. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is not located directly beside the winery. Nevertheless, its setting is very convenient, and the views, especially during breakfast, are simply stunning.

The elegance of the hotel and its territory and the wonderful staff working in it. I'd especially like to thank the people who served at the bar restaurant (the waiter and the chef) as they very extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in the heart of Lanzarote, in a very peaceful and authentic area compared to more touristic Puerto Del Carmen, for instance. Its position is strategically perfect, you can reach all the popular sites in just 15-30-60 minutes of driving.

Fabulous grounds, pool and accommodation. Scrupulously clean. An oasis in the mountains, with wonderful views. The pool area is perfect and so peaceful. Very professional and friendly staff. Felt welcomed from the start, just like being at home. Breakfasts delicious, all freshly prepared from high quality produce. We cannot rate our stay highly enough. A must hotel for the discerning visitor to Lanzarote. Showcases the best the island has to offer.
