A fantastic place to stay while walking in the Camino trail. New in 2023, the hotel rooms were perfect. Air conditioned and spacious. Breakfast available and came with free wifi.

A well appointed and comfortable apartment. Clean and comfortable. Very conveniently located, especially for Camino. Comfy beds. The host was clear and direct with getting in and out. Host was extremely helpful and helped us with an unexpected problem - very kind and helpful.

This apartment is perfect in every way. It is the best we have stayed in. Great location, even has a nice view of the main street. Double glazing so very quiet and warm. Pristine clean and fresh. The host is very accommodating, flexible and helpful in every way. It has every facility you may wish. Has proper towels and even complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste. Every detail is taken care of.  We only wish we could stay longer. Thankyou very much.

The Parador was a traditional hotel in an ancient building - the 11th century hospital built for pilgrims. Good rooms, (we had a fantastic view over the square), and traditional restaurant with clean white tablecloths for all diners. Bathroom large and classic, very much to our taste, with large bath, marble floor and marble counter-top, but perhaps will be re-furbed in the coming years. Breakfast excellent, as is usual with paradors - for example, freshly-squeezed orange on tap plus excellent range of cold food. Plus hot food to order. Paradors (100 across Spain) are state-owned and run, so they are all similar in certain aspects. The town centre is historic, mainly traffic-free, and very charming - the outer parts just a normal everyday town. The St James pilgrim route is a very important part of the life of the town.

Extremely difficult to find by car and GPS. Lovely old square and buildings Dinner was disappointing. We had lamb chops, but not like any i have eaten before. As we were on route for Santander, Brittanny Ferries we did not have time to explore

Missing hot water and lack of support from the site.

Missing hot water and lack of support from the site. Recieved our money with one week delay. At the begining the host did not wanted to bring back the money but thanks to the booking.com team we resolved the problem. Would like to forget bad memories. Never go to this place!

The cathedral is fascinating.

The cathedral is fascinating. We visited three times, on each occasion finding something new. I doubt there are many churches in the world that contain a chicken house - the two living birds are there to recall a local miracle in which a hanged youth and two roast chickens were brought back to life.

A very pretty town, close to other charming villages.

A very pretty town, close to other charming villages. It has a tree-lined main street with excellent bars for breakfast and lunch. The historic center is beautiful, steeped in history and boasting numerous interesting buildings.

Parador de Sto. Domingo Bernardo de Fresneda is a beautiful hotel - a very relaxing place to end our Camino journey. The room was perfect, the breakfast was excellent and the front of house staff were very helpful. Looking forward to staying here again when we pick up the Camino next year.

The hotel is just a short walk from the heart of town and provided us with a secure place to store our bicycles (an inner courtyard). The pilgrim dinner was wonderful , with copious wine. The rooms feature old exposed beams and the old mill stones can be seen in the reception area.
