The location opened 2 weeks ago, so some things, for example good signage from the road, was not yet hung. Also some works were still being done. That said the effort already put into the place is beautiful and it is obvious that it will look absolutely stunning. When I couldn't find the establishment I called and they immediately came to get me. However they are not on site 24/7 so they arrived around 10 mins later. Once there they gave me coffee and biscuits and introduced me to their two older dogs and gave me some good hiking tips. During the stay they gave me recommendations for dinner and other activities, they even called up the restaurant I was planning to eat at to reserve me a table. They have a total of 3 dogs and you can hear them climbing up and down the stairs, however they don't have any access to the main guest area and I didn't hear them a single time during the night. The room is comfortable with a separate bathroom and I also had access to a fully equipped kitchen. The room I stayed in has a window showing to the path outside, although not many people pass I sometimes felt as though I was being watched, the darkening blindes however are great as it blocks out any light from outside. The carpet is amazing and the perfect surface after a long day of walking. The location is stunning and quite far away from the touristy spots. If you wish to visit them anyhow the owners know a very knowledgable cab driver who can show you the sites.

We had a truly wonderful stay at El Refugio de Las Vegas. The whole place exudes tranquillity and harmony, perfectly suited for anyone looking to disconnect and relax in nature. The host were incredibly friendly, attentive and genuinely caring, which added a warm personal touch. Though nestled in a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle, the location remains convenient and easy to access. Whether you are travelling as a couple, with friends or family, this is a place you could happily return to. In short: highly recommended. It’s the kind of place where you leave feeling refreshed, appreciated and already planning your next visit.
