The entire "Masia" is tastefully renovated. The rooms are very comfortable, and the bathroom is very spacious. There was a hairdryer, large TV, comfortable bed, chairs, and pillows. There is excellent living space downstairs and a wonderful breakfast with local and international items. Jordi and his wife were very friendly and helpful, recommending driving back a very lovely town of the Piorat and providing us with maps. parking is very cole, and efficient Internet service.

Tivissa is such a beautiful, timeless, unspoilt example of a...

Tivissa is such a beautiful, timeless, unspoilt example of a medieval fortress town. The labyrinth of narrow winding streets, old buildings - some going back to the 14th century - are mesmerising. The town sits on a rock plateau surrounded by the most beautiful landscape, cradled in a horse shoe shape of mountains - La Llena Massif. Venturing outside of the town, just a short drive you can visit the Mediterranean coast, where you will find some of the cleanest, quietest beaches in Cataluya. If you love history and heritage there are also Iberian ruins just outside of town too, dated from the 4th & 5th century BC, the Castellet De Banyoles. Across the mighty river Ebro is the town of Miravets, where you can explore the imposing Templar Castle of Miravet - once a Moorish fortification. If nature is your thing, less than 50 minutes drive from Tivissa, are the natural warm thermal springs known as the Sanctuary of La Fontcalda, in the most beautiful setting! you can bathe/swim there too. The drive to La Fontcalda is stunning, with the most amazing views! Further afield but not too far is Tarragona, visiting the Roman amphitheatre there is a must! Tivissa is a tranquil base to explore the surrounding area - the perfect location.

We got lost in the mountains following a route on Wikiloc,...

We got lost in the mountains following a route on Wikiloc, and I called the fire department; it was around 3 pm. They were incredibly helpful and arrived within an hour at the peak of La Tossa, where we were, with food and drinks. The town has a beautiful sunset view from the promenade opposite the campsite. There are many hiking trails and the remains of an Iberian settlement to visit.

Apartments with all the necessary amenities for a great stay. We will definitely return. It rained while we were there, so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor areas. The place is surrounded by paths and woods perfect for long walks. The hosts were very friendly and attentive. 100% recommended!

Comparing it to La Figuerola, which is right next door,...

Comparing it to La Figuerola, which is right next door, might lead one to prefer La Figuerola, but that's like comparing a 5-star hotel to a 2-star one. Otherwise, the staff is friendly, you sleep well, and the food is decent.

I really liked to stay in a real house, which was more or less transformed into a guesthouse. It had a nice personal touch, a very friendly host, and also a shared (with other guests) living room/kitchen at the top floor, with stunning views. And Tivissa itself is a very beautiful small village that has the basic supplies.

The location is very good and the weeks we were there was the towns major summer festivities which our we all enjoyed a lot. We went almost each day to the beach, about 30 min drive. And Tivissa is a very nice town to be.

Tivissa is gorgeous and unspoiled by tourism. We loved the apartments location, the kitchen and living room, and being able to sit in the sun on a sofa for coffee each morning. Also loved the vintage domino set!
