What a gem of a place! The hotel looked very traditional and ordinary from the outside, but the bedroom was very modern, a good size with really comfortable beds and a lovely big en-suite shower room. There is a lift to the upper floors. We were welcomed warmly in Spanish as we don't speak Basque, and the lady (manager? owner?) only had a few words of English. We decided to eat at their restaurant, and were greeted by name by the chef/owner, and the waiter was excellent, very friendly and pacient, even though the restaurant was quite busy. A first for us: we could choose our own time for breakfast which was served in the bar. What a lovely experience in a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings.

The host even surprised us with a very tasty breakfast every morning, with fruit, yoghurt, milk, pastry. We were also given travel tips for the locations to visit. We could communicate in English very well. And the view from the room every morning was cherry on top. ♥️

An interesting town with a very picturesque town centre, a fabulous puppet museum, and many cafes and tavernas, also nice shops. We recommend an excellent restaurant called Xare--exceptional food at very reasonable prices. And Hotel Oria is a great place to stay.

The whole town of Tolosa is wonderful, with its beautiful natural surroundings and charm. The food is excellent, and it seems to be a very good place to live. It's very pretty, with excellent restaurants and many bakeries selling local products. Just don't expect too much sunshine.

I love the river, the old town, the bars and tapas.

I love the river, the old town, the bars and tapas. The Saturday market is fantastic. I thought the puppet museum was excellent; highly recommended. You can go hiking in the mountains, with routes of varying difficulty, and enjoy nature, the views, and some excellent croquettes to top it all off. It's also conveniently located for visiting other interesting towns.

Tolosa is a town with a wealth of attractions, including historical monuments, urban landscapes, commercial spaces (with a Saturday market in three different locations), and natural beauty. It's close to San Sebastián, has a train station for those who prefer not to drive, and offers nearby hiking trails. It also boasts a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and cafes.

We went there for dinner at Casa Julian; the rib-eye steak...

We went there for dinner at Casa Julian; the rib-eye steak was exceptional. The animals were raised by the family, and the peppers and leeks were cooked at a low temperature. We'll definitely be back, as this will be the third time we've eaten the rib-eye steak there.

We got a room with an amazing view for one night only... would stay longer if we could. The mattress was very comfortable, room and bathroom good size, and very quiet. Also we had free parking just in front of the hotel. There is breakfast available in the hotel for a good value for money. Staff was really helpful and recommended a very good and pleasant place to eat local food.

This is a fabulous apartment in the heart of the old town in Tolosa. The owner has gone to great effort to furnish it. It has everything you need, a great kitchen and bathroom with a slightly quirky touch to the furnishings. We had a great stay using it as a base for a short cycling holiday.

perfect location for accessing the railway station (we chose Tolosa as it gave easy access to San Sebastian by rail) - small room, but with ample cupboard space - Tolosa is a walkable town with some good tapas bars and restaurants and a nice river walk
