Vielha is located in the center of the Vall d'Aran: one of the most wonderful mountain regions in the area. It is very beautiful, no matter the season. Staying in Vielha allows convenient access to a lot of hikes, and is a good base for skying. Additionally, it has a lot of life and shops.

The town is on a route between Spain and France and is a lively town but quiet, especially at night. There is good free parking and selection of reasonably places to eat and drink. The cool mountain air is superb. In the town are a hospital, police, state medical centre and all the shops you need, including supermarkets. Within one hour by car you can visit so many places, in Spain and France. Toulose and Lourdes are about a two hour drive. Local people are friendly and have their unique language Aranese of which they are proud. You can sample Occitane culture and mountain food.

The hotel was very good but too many people of the same age...

The hotel was very good but too many people of the same age group all going for meals at the same time just didn’t work for us . We have stayed many times before but this will be the last time . Also no seating in the room .

Lovely little town and a great base from which to explore...

Lovely little town and a great base from which to explore the Val d'Aran. Surrounding scenery wonderful with great walks. Can access skiing at Baqueira-Beret easily. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops in the town. The only negative being that some bars employ a double pricing strategy where extranjeros (tourists) are charged more.

Great town to visit, varied shops and small streets, plenty of restaurants. Often open air “acts” in the squares. This visit, a group singing in one square and a balancing act on stacks of beer grates!

An extraordinarily pretty place to visit at any time of year...

An extraordinarily pretty place to visit at any time of year. The town is small, but very charming. The cuisine can be a bit bland and heavy, and tricky for vegetarians or the health conscious. The big draw are the many day trips you can do in the beautiful Pyrenees.

We had an excellent stay. The rooms are extremely clean, location is perfect and breakfast was very good. The staff is extremely polite, from the people in the check-in desk, the cleanliness of the room, and the efficiency and good job of the staff in the restaurant for breakfast. The owner of the hotel - the most attentive and polite lady - would show interest in our comfort, tend to our every need, provide valuable advice around the area... she's wonderful. We will not look for different place next time we go to la Vall d'Aran.

Location was excellent - literally just around the corner from the bus stop and the many outstanding restaurants in Vielha. Stylish hotel. Our room had a balcony and fab river view. Great wifi. Friendly staff. Nice secure ski room. Great breakfast - particularly liked the fresh juice machine. Dinner good - not exceptional but many great restaurants nearby. Free parking a short walk away and can park outside to unload luggage. Well priced hotel - we will stay here again

Location was great, next to the main square in Vielha Apartment was very cosy and warm, kitchen well equipped, washing machine with the dryer, beds very comfortable, 2 spacious bathrooms with the bathtub, lift in the building, Internet worked great. Staff was very helpful, good instructions before entering the apartment, if we had any questions, very quick response.
