The beds were comfortable and it was great to have so many bathrooms. The bathrooms were well equipped with paper towels and soap, which was a nice surprise. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The lodge was big so we had a lot of space to do our activities. The jacuzzi was a great extra. We got early check-in and late check-out as a surprise.

This was the best stay during my travels in Finland. Henry, who runs both the whole running of Säynätsalo Town Hall and the accommodation, is a very helpful and warm person who is happy to help with anything. Included in the accommodation is a guided tour of the Town Hall, and he can also arrange a boat trip to the Alvar Aalto's experimental house including a tour. The island is small but very pleasant and definitely worth staying on. The room was nicely and stylishly furnished, the kitchen had everything a traveler needs.

So warm. There’s a ski place beside. Sauna was great. The view was overwhelming, you could see the sunrise in the living room.
