The snorkelling out the back of the hotel was lovely. There was a large staff to customer ratio which meant there was always someone to help you. Lots of lovely plants at the hotel and the rooms were nice. Free water refills is always appreciated.

Cute cottage, spacious, well equipped, very comfortable beds, quiet. Views of the ocean. Vinna and Robert were wonderful hosts, warm hospitality, so helpful. Vinna has an organic fruit and veg stall at front of property, and makes fabulous smoothies, and offers delicious home cooked Fijian dishes. Robert gave us a lifts around, and took us to the waterfalls (wonderful) and he offers boat trips too.

VureVure Homestay is situated in Mbouma. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. There is a dining area and a kitchen complete with an oven, a fridge and a stovetop.

We loved our stay with Sarah and Sam, their home cooking was the best food we had in Fiji - it was a feast every night. This is not a luxury resort by any means and nor should it be, but it was perfectly clean and very comfortable and has a beautiful snorkelling spot nearby. Sam also took us to do the amazing Lavena coastal walk. Taveuni is a beautiful island and we had a wonderful stay at Aeroview.

Coconut Grove Beachfront Resort offers beachfront accommodation in Matei on Taveuni Island. Each cottage has a private sun terrace and the resort offers massages in a private beach bure.

My partner and I stayed here for one week and our expectations were exceeded! We didn't see many photos online, so we weren't sure what to expect. The views were absolutely magnificent, topped by gorgeous sunsets each evening. The room was so spacious and luxurious, the food was delicious, and everything felt so peaceful. From the moment we booked, Storm took amazing care of us - she anticipated our needs, and made us feel so special, and truly made our stay. The restaurant staff were so wonderful as well - Millie, June, William - and Raymond was an absolute legend. He provided the most luxurious, personalised service, but with such a laidback approach. Location was beautiful with bures directly above the sandy beach. Great swimming and snorkeling directly in front of resort and surf break only 2km out in front. Manager & staff were amazing - super friendly, great service and really helpful. The food was very good and meals with Spanish Mackerel were exceptional. Private, peaceful and relaxing with plenty to do. The full day around island snorkeling tour with picnic and smoked fish on the beach was a highlight. Incredible coral and fish on the 5 snorkeling sites we were taken to.

Everything was fabulous, the food, the people, the room, the surroundings, the local beach. Perfect, I could not have asked for a better place to experience the beauty of Taveuni. Activities could be organised at the lodge and information and advice was always given freely. The staff there were all lovely, big shout out to Khali!! The gardens are beautiful and perfect to hang out in reading a book or relaxing (just beware of coconuts!) there is a lovely beach nearby with some food places and good snorkelling. I did some diving with Taveuni Ocean Sports (can organise through the lodge) and wow, just wow. Vinaka vaka levu, I will be back!

This is a small intimate property with a great, locally adored restaurant attached. The bungalows are beautifully designed. The property is more for self-starters, with the ability to attend mass at the Island's historic church or shop in local markets just outside the entrance...it is not an isolated all-inclusive resort. It is nicely integrated into Island life. The wonderful staff will arrange anything you might want to do in or around the Island. The excellent restaurant with stunning views across the Somosomo Straight is a highlight.

Located in Matei, Lomani offers a patio with pool and garden views, as well as a year-round outdoor pool, spa facilities and beauty services.

Everything about Lomani is wonderful! From the grounds, breakfast, the location on the NW coast of beautiful Taveuni, the lovely villa, gorgeous pool, comfy bed, full separate kitchen, app based TV, and most of all the views! There is a local scuba shop walking distance away (also kayaks and snorkel access), and the on-site managers Knox and Kelera were awesome. Would definitely come back!!
