I spent two amazing days, I felt like at home! Lilja is a super host, with a lot of information to share about the Faroe Islands and super welcoming! The room was small but very cozy, super clean and with all that you could need! Breakfast was delicious, with local products and something different every morning. Perfect location, very close to the times to Klaksvik

We loved everything about our stay at Jensa's. The apartment is lovely, check in could not have been any easier, and we had everything we needed for a happy stay. We stayed for 5 days in July 2025 and travelled to 6 or 7 islands from that hub. The kitchen is well equipped, allowing us to cook dinners 3 of the 5 nights. Jensa was available when needed (she lives upstairs), but otherwise inobtrusive. It was very clean. Bed and linens were lovely. Parking was at the door. By the way, the gas stations in the Faroes have great food options to cook yourself or to have prepared for you to take away or eat at their tables when you can't find a restaurant.

For us, Leirvik was a base from which to explore other areas...

For us, Leirvik was a base from which to explore other areas. We enjoyed the quiet location and water views but didn't spend time in town. Leirvik doesn't have restaurant options but that was fine with us as we prepared our own meals. We did dine one evening at the Gjaargardur Guesthouse in Gjogv, which is about 45 minutes away by car, and highly recommend that restaurant.
