It is a truly lovely little hotel. Little in the sense that it is not big, but full of charm and personality. The way they managed to optimise everything is awesome. Our room wasn't big, but very well designed, to enjoy the seaview from the balcony, to the bed, to the shower: just fantastic. The bed was excellent. Soundproofing is excellent too. The spa is likewise small, but very enjoyable, with a limited access policy to ensure privacy. There is also an option to fully privatise it. The restaurant is great, with fresh, local and creative food, refined without ostentation. With a special mention for the dessert. Breakfast is very good as well. Both the breakfast and dining rooms are beautifully facing the sea. The private beach right in front of the hotel is perfect. I had read some comments before booking: it is not private in the sense it is not exclusive to the hotel guests, but it is not less convenient or good. The sunbeds are perfect, the beach really gorgeous and the water clear for swimming and snorkeling. Anything else? Of course there is! The staff is so friendly. A young team that is, but very professional and helpful. It was a delight to engage with them. Conclusion : it is the opposite of these "in your face" palace hotels or of these cloned hotel chains/resorts. It is a real little hotel, offering full comfort and amazing guest experience. It is a little hotel like we would like to see more these days.

A lovely little seaside resort.

A lovely little seaside resort. Unfortunately, the beach is made of small pebbles, but it's very clean. Many restaurants are closed at this time of year, and some are only open three days a week. It's a shame because the tourists are there in droves and are left a bit disappointed.

A very welcoming little town with its seafront promenade and shops. Market on Thursdays and Sundays. Getting around is very easy thanks to the available and inexpensive public transport. Compared to Collioure, Banyuls is just as charming. You feel right at home and want to stay.

Small, pleasant and lively village, very beautiful pebble beach, clean and sometimes even ducks can be found there, a few coves nearby, close to the Spanish border, bus line to Perpignan for €1 in the summer season, local market on Thursdays and Sundays.

I love Banyuls.

I love Banyuls. The village is magnificent, with landscapes reminiscent of Greece. Even in peak season, the crowds are very manageable, unlike some other Mediterranean destinations. It's my favorite spot on the Catalan coast, and I always look forward to going back.

A very pleasant little seaside resort.

A very pleasant little seaside resort. The beach wasn't crowded, but our stay was outside of school holidays. Shops and restaurants are easily accessible opposite the beach. Plenty of activities: market, sardana dancing, commemorative festival.

Laurent was just the most lovely and hospitable host, very welcoming friendly and smiley. The room was exceptional, big comfy bed and a lovely terrace with views over the mountains. It was a 3 to 4 minute walk in to Banyuls-sur-Mer itself with all its restaurants and bars, but still supremely quiet when you returned. Wine tasting was a treat and the wines produced onsite are exceptional.

We really loved this hotel. The views from the room were spectacular, the pool area is lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. The mattress was firm and very comfy and the room was great. There was a huge selection at breakfast and, holy moly, if you're a cheese fan, the cheese trolley at dinner was insanely good.

Amazing location, fabulous spa, super stylish hotel. Outdoor bar and seating area serving tapas and cocktails. Breakfast was delicious, so much to choose from my partner particularly like the fact that he could boil his own eggs.
