Beautiful furnished room in lovely old building. Set in the old part of the pretty village of Bellac overlooking the river. Continental Breakfast was fresh and plenty to eat. Received a warm welcome from Janet and Steve, hopefully will be back

Very welcoming Fredrick and Marie were wonderful hosts the place was spotless the bedroom was huge and a lovely ensuite bathroom with an excellent shower the room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable beautiful view to the garden and so cosy we will definitely return again highly recommended if you are travelling south very convenient to the motorway the breakfast was fantastic also homemade yoghurt was delicious and jam with croissants so nice such a beautiful setting the house had lots of character you will love everything about this place.

The stay in this room was such a great experience. From the easy parking to the great breakfast (at a time you prefer) . The clean room, friendly people. It felt like a 5 start experience in rural France. Near the room you have your own patio with some shade for the hot days. The room is suprisingly cool ( it was 38C outside, but 21 inside) , without the need of an airco, which i liked. Owners can give you tips for your stay and went the extra mile to make you feel welcome.

Small village / town, lovely church to visit, the pub, Le...

Small village / town, lovely church to visit, the pub, Le Pont de la Pierre, by the river is a must visit as such a lovely setting and well worth the walk. The Restaurant Le Palais nice setting but we got overcharged and will not be frequenting this place on our future visits. The restaurant Le Cheval Blanc offered a set menu and it was fastfood with à la carte prices. Le Central Bar was good for drinks. Gets busy with visitors, ex-pats and local residents. Bellac itself is pretty quiet and a car is a must, lot of interesting beautiful places to visit in the nearby surroundings.

The village is very pretty.

The village is very pretty. I'm revising my previous review because I was accommodated in "La Cabane," a small pink annex to the main house, and not "Au Tilleul." Therefore, the accommodation didn't quite match my reservation, although the cabin has all the necessary amenities.

I especially enjoyed the Media Library, the Pont de la Pierre (Stone Bridge), and the church. And the Cloister Theatre (but it was closed); beautiful old quarters and the scenery overlooking the Vincou Valley. The restaurants were a bit disappointing: the Café de la Pont de la Pierre was very good, the Cheval Blanc was not bad, but the Au Accueil was disappointing. You can take walks in town and in the countryside. It would be a good idea to rent a bicycle.

Very cozy and charming accommodation run by a British couple. You'll not regret any single moment there. It is near Bellac center, so everything is accessible on foot. Parking was in front of the property (public space), and there were always plenty of parking spaces available. Breakfast was great and fulfilling, especially the crème brûlée served in a small bowl. You'll also get a big bowl of freshly cut fruits. Just give it a try, you'll enjoy every single moment of it.

The suite was spotlessly clean and well equipped and the owner had provided all the information we needed to help us find parking nearby, access the building, use the WiFi etc. The building is next to an excellent boulangerie and a short walk from all the shops and restaurants in Bellac, yet it is a lovely, tranquil location. Great value for money too.
