Fantastic and exceptional service shown by the staff. The rooms are large and each has aircon. The staff also turned it on ahead of us for our arrival which was much appreciated as we were travelling during a heatwave. We were on a cycle tour and travelling on bicycles and the hotel accommodated these well. The restaurant has two menu options - French and Vietnamese. They were both fantastic and I recommend eating at the restaurant when staying there. The breakfast has all options available and for those who are cycling I can also say it is fantastic! Lastly one of our booking party couldn't make it and even though we had pre-paid the rooms, and I never requested a refund, the owner of the hotel insisted on organising the refund and the service he provided was exceptional.

The village is charming; however, it's best to have a car to...

The village is charming; however, it's best to have a car to do your shopping in Quillan and explore the surrounding area, as there are no shops in Belvianes or Cavirac. It's a small village of about 200 inhabitants perched on the slopes of the Aude Pyrenees. It's ideal for hiking and visiting Cathar castles.

I found La Fontaine des Amours breathtakingly beautiful.

I found La Fontaine des Amours breathtakingly beautiful. Rennes-le-Chateau is a truly unique mountain village. And Carcassonne is also very beautiful. From here, you can drive to the Dalí Museum in Figueres, near the Spanish border, in two hours.

I stopped along my journey to rest, so I can't comment on hiking opportunities. As for relaxation, it was completely peaceful and the surrounding area was lush and green. It's an hour from Carcassonne for sightseeing and close to an interesting dinosaur museum.

The hotel is quirky in its appearance and layout. We are experienced travellers (Motorcycle Group) and without doubt this is the best hotel we have stayed at when looking at all aspects, staff, location, food, facilities, price - did I mention the staff - absolutely delightful people.

What a gem- don’t miss staying at this hotel. Rooms are first class offering wonderful views. The staff are especially welcoming and attentive. The meals offered in the restaurant are excellent- don’t miss out on ordering the paella which needs to be ordered a day in advance.

The staff at the hotel were so helpful, friendly and supportive. We so enjoyed the swimming pool. The rooms were very good and the food was extremely good. Overall our experience was superb with the staff going out of their way to always help!
