this was a very special stay for me and my mum. it didn’t feel like a hotel, more like staying in a lovely, welcoming family house. we loved the shared cognac with all the family! the house itself is a jewel, full of history and with a warm soul, nestled in beautiful landscape. hope to come back one day for longer!

The room was clean and very comfortable. We had a 'family' room with three beds which worked perfectly for us (three women). There was a little sitting area just in front of the room where you could sit and enjoy being outside. We opted for breakfast and had plenty to eat plus great coffee. The hotel is also very close to a wonderful restaurant (L'Olivette) where we had an excellent dinner. The hotel is located very close to the N10 highway which made our onward travel a snap.

Ideal location for visiting the area. Lovely room which was dressed with nice paintings and beautiful ornaments. Breakfast with the hosts was lovely and a good chance to practise our french. Hosts were very welcoming and accommodating.

I generally liked the landscape and the house.

I generally liked the landscape and the house. The antique, authentic furniture and the location were fantastic. Unfortunately, it lacked a certain professional "savoir-faire." The house and the place are so amazing, and so much more could be done with them. One night, while passing through, was enough for me.

I arrived too late and had to leave early the next day.

I arrived too late and had to leave early the next day. The preview showed a pretty village, but it was too isolated and lost among the vineyards. I stayed there because I couldn't find accommodation in Angoulême. It was the only option available.
