Lovely apartment and the owner was very welcoming. Great communication and very clean. Close to restaurants and the river. This was an overnight stay but you could easily stay here longer. Parking was not outside but close by and free

The apartment was newly renovated and well appointed, it was spacious, light and airy, and had comfortable beds. The exterior of the old terraced building is rather tatty but the apartments themselves are nice. We had trouble with the capsule-type coffee machine which chewed up 3 of the 4 capsules provided without delivering a cup of coffee!

Exceptional! We stumbled upon this fantastic place whilst travelling through France. After staying in several chain hotels, it was lovely to be so well received by Clarissa, who was super friendly and gave us lots of information about things to do in the area. The apartment was beautiful and clean, with everything you could possibly need for a short stay. We also took advantage of the lovely garden and seating area. The town has some great restaurants and a takeaway sushi bar. We spent a lot of time at La Petit Cave, where they serve fantastic wine, coffee and cocktails. We also indulged in the fresh oysters and cheese/charcuterie boards that they sell. You can get great ice cream in the Citadel too. There is a brilliant market on Wednesday and Saturday with a huge selection of quality food and other goods including a stall that sells hand crafted leather bags and sandals. Les does a fun and informative tour of the winery, and his vintage cars nearby and a visit to La Galarie is a must. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future.

Citadell is worth to visit and is the main attraction.

Citadell is worth to visit and is the main attraction. Definitely visit Le Petite Cave wine shop and cafe and the art gallery! Otherwise, small towns around, each with a nice touch. Blaye itself is in some parts somewhat abandoned. Main street is lively but other streets empty and kind of sad empty houses. A few nice restaurants, would suggest one’s in citadell for a more quiet atmosphere.

We loved everything about our stay here. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic - large and very comfortable.The swimming pool was very welcome after a long cycle ride and the secure bike storage was great. The breakfast choice was also wonderful: fresh croissants, apple tart, cheese meats, yogurts...I could go on! The location is very peaceful despite only being a short walk to the centre of Blaye and the citadel. We really hope to be back as soon as we can.

Nice little studio attached to the owners house. Well appointed but cupboards a bit high up for us short people. Short drive to supermarket and petrol station. Blaye itself is a lovely old town dominated by a huge citadel well worth visiting. Blaye is in the middle of Bordeaux wine country and there is an excellent shop in the heart of Blaye selling wine from the local producers.

Very friendly and helpful owners, ready to talk about Blaye and the places to see and dine. Lovely clean and bright room with comfortable bed and linen. Good breakfast, very accommodating and lucky with good parking right outside. Easy walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go.

Very friendly welcome from staff, including information on the Blaye ferry timetable. Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Excellent breakfast, generous with plenty of choice.
