I can't say enough great things about our stay here! Although we were only there one night, everything went smoothly from check in to check out. The host were helpful and responsive and they helped with parking. The apartment was decorated very tastefully and we enjoyed the living space. The bedroom and loft both had great views of the town and the basilica, which is across the street. The kitchen had a coffee maker and tea kettle and the beds were comfortable. Would highly recommend and stay here again!

The old walled city is much nicer than the more modern part...

The old walled city is much nicer than the more modern part near the port. The main problem is parking (if you go by car) - there is a car park right outside the city wall, but it gets full and it's hard to find a space sometimes. It used to be free, but it costs around 17 Euros a day now. There is also a car park near to the cathedral inside the city wall (which also used to be free but no longer is), but that gets used by the Christmas market in December, increasing the pressure on the other one. The Christmas market gets absolutely heaving. In the winter many of the restaurants in the town are not open in the evening, so it's worth checking opening times before choosing where to eat. The dome of the cathedral is lit up at night and is beautiful.

We love Boulogne old town, a quiet little haven away from the busy main town. The main town has an abundance of shops and facilities with pretty much every supermarket you can think of and an incredibly useful Decathlon superstore.

The aquarium, cathedral and old city wall’s walk were all very well worth doing. We enjoyed them all. We also enjoyed wandering through the fish markets. We walked everywhere, which was easy enough. We had very easy access to lots of good options of places to eat, from where we were, with many right on our doorstep.

Great beach with lots for children to do....bouncy castle, trampoline, beach games and a park all free of charge. Lots of statues and historical sights to visit, and a good bustling town centre with plenty of shops and restaurants. The walk down to the beach along the harbour wall is lovely.

Pleasantly surprised by this beautiful town, especially the upper town area with its basilica, war memorial and beautiful architecture. The city was clean and welcoming with a good choice of restaurants and easy to walk around town. The waterfront was abuzz with visitors and locals alike. Plenty of free on-street parking too.

Beautiful town of historical interest, although very hilly. Restaurant of varying quality, never expected to have to check reviews before booking in France. Some restaurants had really poor food and service. Beach fabulous as was Nausicàa . Definitely worth a visit.

The location was brilliant next to the entrance to the old town but also not too noisy at night. There was a free bus (doesn't run on Sundays) which stopped outside and went and and down the hill to the harbour and shops. It was good to have an outdoor terrace to have a drink and eat breakfast as the weather was warm during our stay.. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our rooms were better than expected - functional but clean and fine for a few nights stay. I would return here if staying in Boulogne again.

There was every facility to make breakfast but the flat is a minute from local restaurants and the old town.. It was quite unique and bijoux - absolute luxury- will definitely visit again as loved Boulogne too.Very quiet after 6 pm. Right in the centre so easy to walk everywhere. The garage parking was a bonus as we had a camper van, but there is street parking available at 1 euro an hour or free a few streets away. We texted 30 minutes before arrival so the host was there to meet us. Couldn’t have asked for more.
