The staff were very friendly and helpful. Anything you needed they attended to, even restaurant recommendations. The room was bright and cheerful, with lots of places to put your things. The beds were comfortable. The room was neat, clean and quiet. The bathroom was spacious and had everything you needed. Tea and coffee were available in the room. We had a balcony with two chairs, and it was nice to sit out. Close to the train station, restaurants and beach. Very nice area. At reception you could get a drink and sit outside, or take it to your room. The room was clean and had everything you needed. The breakfast was tasty. Poached eggs, meat, cheese, bakery items, cereal, coffee, and tea. I'd recommend this small, boutique hotel.

Beautiful boutique like hotel, Central located between Monaco and Menton Our room was in the “new part” of the hotel and had a beautiful view of the sea from the bedroom and the bathroom. Super comfortable and designed room! The bus stop is just in front of the hotel, which makes it very convenient and any expensive to explore the area

    I loved having a breakfast on the balcony looking out over the valley and the sea. Felt immediately at home in this apartment. There's lots to do on the doorstep if you like hiking and nature, but it's also a great place to just relax and hang out. A few buses a day run between Castellar and Menton and there's a regular train service along the coast, so you don't need a car to get around. Alain and Bernard are very kind, generous hosts. I hope to stay again.

    Denise was a charming and helpful host, and made us feel very much at home. The breakfast included many of her home made foods (jam, fruit juice, verveine tea) which kept us going all morning. We managed by using the local bus to Menton as we were travelling by train, but a car would be an advantage, given that there was nothing open at Castellar village. The views from our room were lovely, and we enjoyed evening picnics by the pool.
