Great location: peaceful with lovely outlook. Christel and Yannick were brilliant hosts, happy to go above and beyond, offering advice and making one feel most welcome. Comfortable bed, private access and facilities. Simple but more than adequate with a super breakfast. Good parking. Thank you both.

The owner was there to give us a warm welcome. She was delightful and gave helpful information about the local shops. I thought the location was superb and it was nice to see our children out playing in the countryside. Lovely views and a trip down to Millau is a must!

We had a fabulous couple of nights at Chambre au Calme. The appartment itself has proper holiday vibe, is super comfy and has everything you need. The outside area is sublime! You’ll have access to the outside pool, your own whirlpool and loads of outside seating areas to catch the sun, whatever time of day. Fabulous. Lovely owners, too. The village a short walk away was also really worth a visit, with its historic buildings, French windy streets and in a beautiful spot on the river. Lots of places to eat, too. Also fabulous bike rides right from the door. Thoroughly recommended.

A medieval village that you can visit.

A medieval village that you can visit. The gîte is right opposite the castle, and the streets are typical, old, and very narrow. The couple who own the gîte run a small grocery store and a restaurant on weekends in the off-season and every day during the season.

A pretty medieval village, the grocery store is well-stocked...

A pretty medieval village, the grocery store is well-stocked with excellent local produce, and the restaurant is nice. For mushroom lovers, there's plenty to do in the immediate vicinity: we found chanterelles, porcini, and hedgehog mushrooms! From here, you can easily go to Millau, and explore the Tarn, Dourbie, and Jonte gorges.

The village is stunning, overlooking a vast valley...

The village is stunning, overlooking a vast valley stretching as far as the eye can see. Its inhabitants are welcoming, and it's very peaceful. Ideal for recharging your batteries. However, the only restaurant in the village unfortunately doesn't seem to have reopened... and there are no other shops. You'll need to plan your food arrangements, as the nearest restaurants are in Millau. A fantastic stay overall; we'll be back.
