    The chateau is beautiful, rooms clean and very spacious, and they serve a good breakfast. The chateau has a very nice garden and is situation at the Seine.There also is a private parking. I would recommend this chambre d'hotes for a stay, if you like to be in the area of Fontainebleau for a few days. The hosts are very friendly and give good tips for sight-seeing. Thank you very much for our pleasant stay Pierre and Eric!

    Getting around to Characters was easy.

    Getting around to Characters was easy. We went around to Fontainebleau to visit the Castel and to enjoy the restaurants there. It also has good boutiques there at good price. Going to Paris on the train was very easy from there. The host are kind enough to drive you and pick you up from the train station or you can drive 5 minutes to the train station yourself.

    it’s was quirky and relaxing. no tv, bar. view of the Seine was a bonus. Pierre and Eric where friendly and helpful and made us very welcome. the hotel has been a family home for 5 generations. yes it is antiquated but beautiful and loving looked after. thoroughly recommend a stay and close to Fontainebleau

    It really gave us the experience of living inside a chateau with high quality of services. This was the best hotel for 20-day vacation in France. I just regretted that we only had one day there.
