We were delighted with the hotel, its proximity to Domme, the fabulous view of the Dordogne from our small balcony, and the food. Our room was very comfortable and the entire staff were very gracious. The bathroom was a little dated, but it was clean and everything worked fine. We enjoyed a glass of wine on our balcony before a lovely dinner in the garden restaurant. The following morning we were able to enjoy a stroll around the village before it filled up with tourists.

We had a lovely stay. Beautiful house and garden with a pool, and it’s very private and quiet. Our hosts, François et Hélène, were very welcoming and friendly. We loved chatting with them. They have lovely pets too, 3 adorable dogs and an elderly cat! The breakfast offered is absolutely delicious and varied, with local products. Our room was spacious and beautiful. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. The village of Domme is lovely and well located to visit the region. This property and its owners are charming and delightful. We highly recommend!

The house is surprisingly spacious, with a lot of athenticity and at the same time modern comforts. With my 1.98 m, I even fitted under the shower with room to spare! The owners were nice. The location really is in the heart of the the village, meaning that you can't park in front of the house, but there are other options nearby. The walls are thick, so I'd expect the house to be cool enough in summer. The environment was quiet, all I heard from outside were the birds.

Clean, bright , modern hotel in an old building in an excellent location. Good breakfast available as well as a bar and a nice little sitting area. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. They offered alternative arrangements for visiting various interesting sites. Marina , in particular, went the extra mile to find a great, affordable driver to take us to the gardens and some small villages. This was a great way to see these places which would have been otherwise impossible to visit.

We ate at the Pizzeria des Templiers Restaurant and it was excellent. Lovely cooling mist in their nice courtyard. Very friendly staff and delicious pizzas with a thin crispy crust. Tasty desserts too. We also ate at the Esplanade which is a lovely place to sit on a warm summers evening on the terrace. Very helpful staff for choosing the meal and wine to go with it. Also my friend had a problem with certain foods and it was no problem to make changes. They were so helpful. we also ate at the Asian restaurant just outside of Domme. They have just moved there. The meal was delicious and all home made. Not bought in frozen. Domme is great for shopping and all the shop keepers were super friendly.

The town is nice, but not worth more than one night if that.

The town is nice, but not worth more than one night if that. Everything closes at 7PM and doesn’t open until 10am. There is only one pizza place open on Wednesday for dinner. I think it would be better to stay outside Domme and come in for a few hours during the day,

We loved the town, the people & the shops.

We loved the town, the people & the shops. The ice cream was delicious! The views were spectacular and I would certainly recommend visiting Domme, preferably out of season as it is quite busy even in September. Beautiful market on a Friday! A small car is recommended as streets are narrow. We ate at a nearby cafe & had dinner in a restaurant that offered outside seating & beautiful views.

An impressive bastide with an amazing view over the dordogne and hills and forest. A lovely walk along the ramparts. Great ice-cream in the main square. Overall well worth visiting. We will be back...

Domme was a beautiful town.

Domme was a beautiful town. Out of season there is little open but you can see what a vibrant town it would be once the tourists arrive. In the few shops that were open everyone was very friendly and gave us tips of what to see and where to visit. There was an amazing book shop that was open. Even out of season it is a lovely town to wander around with one or two bars open for a coffee etc.

We have spent two hours in this village.

We have spent two hours in this village. We walked through a few streets, enjoyed the panoramic view over the river, visited the old Romanesque church, checked an antiquarian book shop (where our kids bought some English books), and stopped for pancakes in Gourmandises Café (with nice personnel and tasty food). We liked the atmosphere, which felt simultaneously historic and relaxed. One feels like in a fairy tale in this village. Fortunately, there were not many tourists at the end of October (despite the fall school vacations in France). In particular, one could easily park their car in the village without any difficulty. Then we continued our journey to the Marqueyssac gardens...

The hosts were really helpful. It was over 38 degrees and they had no problem getting us an extra fan to keep cool. The house doesn't have air conditioning but it was not over hot. Windows open at night and shutters closed during the day. Just common sense. Easy parking with a small car park nearby or on the streets outside the house. We were there in August and never had a problem finding a space. Great bar open the corner of the street with lovely owners and you could get a late night glass of wine. One of the few places in Domme.

This is a special property, a bit old school in terms of decor but with a fantastic location in Domme, amazing views and a really excellent restaurant. The terrace outside for breakfast, lunch or dinner has spectacular views with the setting sun. Its right in the middle of Domme, off the main square, so close to everything in this small picturesque hilltop town. The staff were attentive and pleasant.
