It was great to spend the night in Giverny as the town became enchanting once the tourists had left. In the morning before the tourists arrived we were able to have a relaxed breakfast with locals and take a pleasent walk. This area is as charming as can be with the quaint houses and gorgeous gardens. There is very little signage and it is a bit more difficult to find anyone who speaks English --we arrived on Train from Paris and there was NO -one in the Vernon station to help us find a cab or ANYTHING. But that was Vernon. Giverny was lovely but again --bring your translation guide!Guest review byjoy - 10.0
A lovely village. Monet's Garden was excellent.

I find it so hard to say as I loved everything.
I find it so hard to say as I loved everything. Quiet, birdsong, beautiful flowers, tranquil and fabulously French. I hope it never changes. It has such charm with a nob back to better times. Everyone we met was friendly, hospitable and helpful. I could not fault it. I would love to return as we both commented, we didn't have long enough to explore and then relax in the wonderful surroundings.Guest review byLaurain - 10.0

Some favourite activities: 1. Loved Monet's house and garden (we went round the house twice). 2. Good weather allowed us to eat a delicious evening meal in the garden of the Hotel Baudy. 3. An easy stroll, through fields, to the bank of the River Seine. 4. The town of Giverny is very quiet when there are no tourists...
The town of Giverny is very quiet when there are no tourists, but there are many tourists during the day. It takes a long time to visit Monet's Garden. We went to visit the museum first, bought tickets for Monet's Garden at the museum, and then went to Monet's Garden. It was very convenient. The paintings in the museum are great. In addition to Monet, there are also works by other painters of the same period. Monet's Garden is very beautiful, and there are many Monet's works in Monet's former residence, which is worth visiting.Guest review byLing caiCanada

Our ground floor room was beautifully furnished with some nice antique pieces and was extremely clean. The bathroom, also extremely clean was very modern, with a walk in shower. The owner, Luciano was a most genial host who served a fabulous breakfast. The owner let us park our motorcycle in the enclosed garden and under cover. Breakfast was continental and good, served in an attractive breakfast room, which she said we could use if we wanted to bring lunch, or dinner back. Very well positioned property, in the village centre, just a short stroll from Monet’s house and gardens, with restaurants and all amenities on the doorstep.
