Everything was astonishingly pleasant! The hotel staff as a whole was always available to help and very friendly, though never excessively. A guy with long dark hair and glasses was sincerely the best hotel clerk I have ever had the pleasure to encounter in my whole life. The room and every part of the hotel was clean and orderly. The food was marvellous as well and not expensive: for 19 euros I ate a creamy lentils soup with coconut milk and a stunning filet mignon laid on mashed sweet potatoes (which you can see in the only photo of the hotel).There was a lot of attention also to details, for example, we arrived to Le Prieuré after a big hike near Tende (you can see two photos of it, in one you can spot the sea in the horizon! Tende is truly a magical place) and the room was already heated: a dream come true. The remaining photo is Tende in the sunset, although Le Prieuré is not exactly in Tende, but 5 minutes from it, I did not take any photo of the hotel, but I can assure that the location is great. In short, I can only recommend Le Prieuré especially considering the price!!! Best hotel I have ever been to.

Bijou little apartment very French in a cute little narrow old fashioned street. 10 mins walk from station. Restaurant and shops near by. We only stayed one night enroute by train from Turin to Nice. Very convenient. Looks like a great place for walkers. Lots of people with backpacks and c walking sticks around.

La Brigue is one of many historic villages of the French Maritime Alps. It is small but we found it quite charming. We came here to hike, so from that perspective it was great. If you are looking to be outdoors and hiking most of the time, this is a place that will give you many options.

A magnificent museum, very well maintained with lovely volunteers: I highly recommend setting aside an hour for your visit. A beautiful church. A charming village, and I imagine very pleasant for hiking.

La Brigue is a charming, well-preserved historic village.

La Brigue is a charming, well-preserved historic village. The village itself is worth a visit, as are the nearby Pont du Coq (Rooster Bridge) and the Notre-Dame des Fontaines Priory. La Brigue also makes a good base for hiking in the Vallée des Merveilles (Valley of Wonders).

Numerous hiking, climbing, and river areas for swimming.

Numerous hiking, climbing, and river areas for swimming. The locals are very friendly. The local restaurants offer excellent food. I highly recommend it, especially since it's easily accessible by the Train des Merveilles (Train of Wonders).

La Brigue is a beautiful old village with narrow cobbled...

La Brigue is a beautiful old village with narrow cobbled streets and a cart track. Nearby is an old chapel with many beautiful, unrestored frescoes, and a trip to the Col de Tende is also worthwhile. The entire region exudes history; it was Italian until 1947, and has been part of France since then.

The hotel was lovely and had pretty good food. The room was nice and had a lovely view of the mountains. The area is gorgeous and you can hike all over. It's a really beautiful area. The bathroom has a small shower but overall I can only recommend. The personell were very friendly!

Lovely location in the heart of la Brigue. Simple facilities but everything was there that you needed. Small grocery shop nearby selling essentials Summer shuttle bus runs from place de nice up to casterino where we did amazing mountain walks.

The location of the hotel is really good - just a few minutes walk to the town center. Room was clean and breakfast was good. The building is charming, but sadly doesn't seem to be in the best condition (but not too bad either).
