The location was beautiful, the views of the land and watching and listening to nature was so relaxing. We had such a warm greeting, the hosts are really friendly. Even though they don’t speak too much English, they tried really hard to communicate with us and give us the best experience whilst staying with them. We really appreciated it and it felt very homely. The apartment is in a self contained annex, I think they have just the two apartments. In the appartment, there is everything you can think of to hand, the hosts have made a really nice place to stay. It’s very clean and tidy. Bed was very comfy and nice plush pillows made for a very good nights sleep. I’m the small kitchen area, there was so much food and drinks to help yourself to which was a really special touch and helped tremendously on our arrival. The breakfast was local and fresh, lovely bread, croissants and pain au chocolates. What a great place to stay!!

Everything was incredible clean and the cottage is beautiful. Just next to the forest in a relaxing area, easy to go for hiking without taking the car. Also the checking is flexible thanks to the key box. I recommend it! Just to clarify for future guests with dogs: the garden is not closed.

A wonderfully peaceful stay near a large forest perfect for...

A wonderfully peaceful stay near a large forest perfect for long walks. The hosts were very kind and always ready to answer any questions, welcoming you as if you were family. The dog was also allowed to roam freely and play with their own dogs. It's a bit far from restaurants or cafes, but if you keep that in mind, it's a great place to completely unwind.

A vehicle is absolutely necessary, as there are no amenities in the village itself. Belgium is just a few kilometers away (Chimay), where you'll find decent restaurants. The landscape is beautiful, with many hiking trails nearby. It's a very rural and peaceful place to stay.
