There was no breakfast and no dinner either as the restaurant was closed. But a lady called Adeline kindly came to let me in and showed me to my room. I particularly enjoyed hearing the cocks crow in the morning. But they wrote to tell me the restaurant was closed but too late to change my booking. No other restaurants open for miles. I liked being able to open the window and the hit water in the shower.

I actually came for the rooms, stayed for the kitchen. The accomodation is in close proximity to the site on the Somme battlefield. The rooms have comfortable beds with newly renovated bathrooms, everything you need, when you are out all day long. Everything is very clean and taken care of. The patron family was altogether very nice and made the stay very welcoming. What was really great though was the food served for dinner. If you have the chance, eat here and support this local gem in the countryside.

Location very good for visiting the War sites in the area. Outdoor area at rear of property had seating and also a hot tub,. There was a pool but it was not available during our stay.

Audrey is an amazing host! We loved the garden view from the meals/breakfast room. We had the place to ourselves so we were able to make full use of the kitchen and dining facilities. Bed and room super comfortable. Fantastic breakfast spread prepared by our hosts but I have come to learn that food in France is superb! esp the baguette and croissants!!! Super close to all that you could want to see with regards to WW1 history... we really hope we can return.

We stayed twice at Le Hamel in the past weeks.

We stayed twice at Le Hamel in the past weeks. The room was very nice and everything you needed was there, nice bathroom, good wifi, a fridge and drinks served on arrival. The host was very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was very good en we and our dog felt very welcome.

We came for a golf tournament with my son, so we didn't have...

We came for a golf tournament with my son, so we didn't have much time to explore the region, but we thoroughly enjoyed the room and the lovely grounds. On our next visit, we'll definitely take an extra day to visit the Somme and learn about its rich history. The owners are warm and welcoming without being intrusive – perfect! A big thank you to them!

Ideal for relaxing, very quiet.

Ideal for relaxing, very quiet. Due to the curfew and closed restaurants, we ate in our room, which was equipped with a microwave and a small fridge-freezer. The room is located 90 km from the coast.
