Everything. The kindness, attention to details, flexibility and help of the owner (Clémence). The charm of the house furbished with a local touch. The breakfast, including home made cakes - and a little chocolate gift for our daughter for Easter. A detail, but the open shelves and hangers in the room were very practical to store items for our stay. It's a really pleasant place to stay, in the middle of the wine region, easy access to many chateaux. Public parking is possible in front of the house and free of charge. A great value for the price you pay. We hope to be back one day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nathalie and her team were charming, extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning which included a range of homemade breads, cake with yoghurt, fruit etc. Quite a spread! The location works well to explore the Bordeaux area with visits to chateaux and superb local restaurants. Highly recommended.

    Quiet village in the center of the Medoc wine region with...

    Quiet village in the center of the Medoc wine region with many vineyards, wine chateaux and a golf course. Only 30 minutes from Lacanau seafront and 15 minutes from Pauillac, St Julien and St Estephe wine meccas. We enjoyed visiting Chateau Ferriere in the center of town even without having a reservation and the wine store Avant Garde just next door has an amazing selection of wines from Margaux and the neighboring villages. We had a lovely dinner at the Savoie restaurant in town, outside on the terrace enjoying the yummy food and great Margaux Grand Crus.

    Our favourite place was the chocolate shop 'Mademoiselle de Margaux'. Free sampling of many different treats. Then the 'Maison du vin de Margaux'. Many eating places are closed most of the week and either for lunch or for dinner. We had a dinner at the restaurant of the 'Marquis de Terme'. You need a reservation. The set dinner of my wife was O.K. My dinner of lamb was a bad joke. The wines were excessively expensive. We drove to Bordeaux for dinner, a two hour round trip. The city is very alife with plenty of restaurants and outdoor eating and drinking places.

    The hotel is set amongst some of the best vineyards in the world, so my husband was very happy! The hotel was nice, and the staff were very helpful: they laid on a large sharing plate of cheese, ham and french bread for our supper even though we arrived after the kitchen was closed; later when the electronic key didn't work, staff actually ran to get different keys (had to try lots of different ways) until it eventually opened. The rooms were great - very large, with comfortable beds, and good size bathrooms.

    Great location between the center of Margaux and next to the Garonne river. The golf course on site gives the feeling of space and quiet nature. The front desk staff was super helpful and very attentive. The room was large, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom well equipped. Also the Spa and indoor pool facilities were great. We did not eat there so we cannot give any comments on this. The Margaux Golf course is on site. Looks very flat but many holes with water hazards should make it interesting.

    Very charming proprerty in an even more charming environment. The property is located on a wineyard in the middle of the Margaux region. The room was very large and comfortable with a nice view of the wineyard. The bathroom was also large. Parking is easy and the personnel very nice. I would return to this property anytime allthough there is not much to do at night in the vecinity.

    The hotel is lovely, staff are excellent. We had a standard room which was a good size with a large bathroom. We were able to store our bikes securely. Breakfast was fantastic.
