Pure perfection! We had a ground floor room, with the perfect view of the Loire and the château. A gorgeous, cosy, but not small room with a beautiful timbered ceiling. The shower room and toilet are separate, so that's a bonus. Breakfast if served in the troglodyte breakfast room. Something that adds to the quirky charm of this hotel. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant across the road. Equally highly recommended.

The pictures of the outside area and the pool didn't do justice to how truly amazing it was. The view from the balcony was fantastic, so calm and peaceful overlooking the woods. beautiful in summer, and I imagine lovely in cooler months too. Alex was also super helpful, and the wine was a tasty surprise. Conveniently placed to visit the local attractions too.

What a fabulous setting! Beautiful resoration, and lovely pool and spa! The rooms are so well appointed, and the best bit is the food. The restaurant quite superb. Cannot recommend it more highly. A delightful place to stay, rest and enjoy.

The hotel/bar/resto was most accomdating as we 3 cyclists arrived. Problem: it was on a French national holiday. Most local restos were closed as was their kitchen so they kindly offered us an excellent cheese and salad evening meal. Perfect! After cycling n Km we just needed beer, bread and salad. With that we were off to their really good bedrooms and, in the morning to a good breakfast

Excellent room and comfortable beds. Delightful gardens. Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. Excellent and good value dinner at the restaurant. Lovely pool of good size and well suited for young kids.

A 'Most Beautiful Village of France' and rightly so.

A 'Most Beautiful Village of France' and rightly so. Old chateau (which you can visit) on the Loire and other old buildings abound. Very well curated with good signage and explanations. As you leave Montsoreau you come to Candes St Martin (another MBVF) just along the river which is also well worth a visit. Spectacular church and many other old buildings. Cafes open on the square in front of the church and good selection of quality shops.

This is still a side of the Loire that is not too touristy, but very close to sites of interest to visit (Ussé, Azay le Rideaud, Fontevraud Abbey as well as other less well-known but equally pretty small castles).

A very pleasant, typical village on the banks of the Loire.

A very pleasant, typical village on the banks of the Loire. There are several cafes to stop at, restaurants for all budgets, and home decor shops. Enjoy walks or bike rides along the Loire. The castle is worth a visit.

Loved the location right opposite the beautiful Loire river. Such a welcome greeting and hospitalityfrom Carole and Eric, the proprietors and also from their reception staff. We had the apartment which was well appointed and very comfortable. The private car park opposite the hotel was very convenient. Enjoyed the wine tasting but should have booked the Spa earlier to avoid disappointment. Lots to see and do in the area so would recommend a couple of night’s stay.

We are a family of 4 (2 teen boys) visiting for 6 days from the UK. The pool is fabulous - cleaned every day, lovely temperature, for our exclusive use and a very good size. The bedroom and garden space was beyond our needs! Our teen boys were in the pool every day and we had a lovely al fresco meal in the top BBQ area overlooking Montsoreau and the Loire - beautiful view! The hosts were very friendly and helpful, showing us around and helping with any queries.

Ideal stay for us, helpful host met us and showed us around, we used the pool and found the location to be fine for us (with car), just outside of town of Montsoreau. Host very kindly messaged that we had left something behind after we left, in time for us to return.

The location is fabulous, Montsoreau is a lovely place to visit and Hotel Le Bussy is ideally placed to do that. Staff are welcoming and restaurant over the road is worth a visit. This is our second time visiting Hotel Le Bussy and won’t be out last!
