We arrived at La Bonne Etape after a long car ride - were feeling tired . This hotel had been selected as our " splurge " hotel as it had a Michelin star restaurant and was a Chateau and Relais hotel. When we arrived we were greeted outside the front doors by our wonderful host Stephanie. She was most welcoming - got us settled and made us a reservation for dinner at Cafe Gabby. It was so nice not to have to go out to find a restaurant - ate at Gabby twice.Our Michelin star meal was for our last night.Our room was spacious and had a lovely view of the pool , mountains and gardens.A carafe of water, biscuits and a lovely welcoming note were left in our room - a such a nice touch. Stephanie suggested what to do in the area and as well as walking trails close by.The public spaces were beautiful - filled with elegant furnishings and paintings. Our final dinner at Bonne Etape was beyond expectation - had wine pairings with the courses - amazing service, beautiful presentation on lovely serving dishes - very polished service.The Master Chef came around after the meal to see if we enjoyed our meal- an unexpected but very special surprise. Tuck in service in our room was appreciated each night with a special herbal tea and " jelly" candy! Tourist Brochure in the room was very handy. Huge fan of L'Occtaine - which was the toiletry product used.

Aneta provided us with a truly delightful experience during our stay. The accommodation was impeccably clean and adorned with tasteful decorations, creating a charming atmosphere. Its unbeatable location added an extra layer of convenience to our trip. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we enjoyed the tranquility of the quiet environment.     Very convenient accommodation, when you travel through Provence. Located just on the main road, no need to drive through village, narrow streets etc. to get there. Very large parking slots and areas to rest after all-day driving.

    Super clean, comfortable, air conditioned and perfect for a stopover stay in Sisteron. Exactly what you should expect from a hotel, and the owners obviously care about the hotel and their guests. Nice continental breakfast and good coffee too. Hosts were super friendly and accommodating. 7 mins drive from Sisteron which is well worth a visit. There’s a lot of history there, beautiful citadelle and rock formations. Even Napoleon stayed there once! Well priced and great value.
