Karen, the host, was charming and helpful. She booked dinner for me and three others at the nearby L’Atelier du Vin which was a good recommendation because it was excellent and not expensive. Le Repose Pieds is located in an atmospheric medieval labyrinth. I had an attic bedroom with a skylight above the bed which I enjoyed because it was like sleeping under the stars but with all the comfort of a snug little room. The petit dejeuner set me up for the day. A memorable stopover at the start of the Chemin de Stevenson
