Swimming pool has a jakuzi. It was very nice. Golf fields and nature enviroment was amazing. Restaurant and reception staff were so polite and helpful. Easy parking. Price was budget-friend.

Ideal location for our journey through France. Lovely decor and a very friendly and accommodating host. The jacuzzi was a massive luxury after a day in the car and the basket of patisserie in the morning was a real treat.

This place is absolutely amazing, the owners have done a fantastic job! We have stayed in several barn conversions but none have been as beautiful and perfect as this one! We would definitely stay there again!

Well equipped, modern conversion, easy parking, enclosed estate, quiet, always very clean, all gites are in separate buildings, the pigeonnier is charming and warm in winter. This was our fourth stay and we will be back. 20 mins from Troyes. 20 mins from Belvedere on Lac d'Orient.

Super location - rural and quiet, very safe with our car full of holiday stuff plus bikes on back. Much more spacious than expected for the four of us. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Only a 30min drive to Nigloland the next day!

The house was immaculate and extremely well designed. We were lucky enough to be one of the first guests to stay here and we could not recommend it highly enough. The hosts could not have been more welcoming. This is a gem.

The hotel is in the middle of the forest and lake area.

The hotel is in the middle of the forest and lake area. You need to drive to othe places or have a bike. The golf course seemed popular but not crowded. The spa looks good, but I didn't use it on this occasion. The pool is outside with a canopy built over, popular with families, but at other times quiet for a proper swim. Short drive to the next village with swimming and watersports facilities. Picnic area and several food outlets and toilets and showers. Free parking places. On the other side of the lake is another village with a larger beach and more facilities. The city of Troyes has a fine medieval centre. But I would recommend a drive to Piney for more good examples of medieval architecture.

This perfectly equipped estate boasts a beautifully...

This perfectly equipped estate boasts a beautifully maintained golf course and highly recommended accommodation and hospitality. As for the food, many restaurants in the Paris region could learn a thing or two from the quality of service and presentation of the dishes offered at lunch and dinner.

The Orient Forest is truly magnificent, offering beautiful...

The Orient Forest is truly magnificent, offering beautiful walks. However, I had planned hikes based on information from the tourist office website, which was a huge disappointment as there were no updates, the trail markers were nonexistent, and the directions were inaccurate. But the setting is splendid; the forest and lakes offer a wealth of activities.

You need to plan your activities in advance to make the most of them, as the distances between each activity are significant, making a car essential. There weren't many restaurants open during that period, unless you went to Troyes.

We have loved it for many years.

We have loved it for many years. It's worth noting that at the last minute we were able to get a room adapted for people with reduced mobility (easier access, equipped bathtub)... which is also why we didn't have the ideal view from the room... but this choice was a good thing for us.

The Foret d'Orient was a huge disappointment.

The Foret d'Orient was a huge disappointment. Both the forests and the lakes were rather dull. There are hardly any marked trails, especially none along the lake. I don't understand why it's called a "natural park." Nor why it's called a "Foret d'Orient."

We have stayed at the hotel previously and would do so again. Set in lovely grounds in a good location only ten minutes from major routes. Very good value for money. Staff, room, restaurant and breakfast all very good. Great shower room and a separate toilet. Our dog Charlie loved his morning walk to see the sheep and goats.

The hotel was in a pleasant location, however for some reason I thought it had a lake view. I'm not sure what led me to believe that but it didn't! About a 25 minute drive into Troyes which was absolutely stunning and well worth a visit.

The hotel is much improved since I last reviewed 12 months ago. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable, and the dinner offering was back to a high standard.

Great room, good food, pleasant social spaces within hotel and the swimming pool. Travelled with roof box and skis on the roof and felt that was safe to leave them on in the car park.
