The owners are friendly and helpful, likewise their staff. I was permitted to store my road bike under secure cover in the rear garden, which was reassuring. The evening meal was delicious and good value for money, the rooms were clean, beds comfortable and the breakfast was simple, tasty, ample and great value.

Love this hotel, my aunt and I stayed here for 2 nights and my brother joined us for the second night. The hotel accommodated him at very short notice. My aunt and I ate in the restaurant on the Saturday evening and the meal was superb. It is the second time I have eaten in the resurant as visit the area due to family living close by. The restaurant is closed after breakfast on Sundays. We found the nearest place to eat in the evening then was in Saint Junien a 20 minutes drive drive away. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Parking outside was free.

We enjoyed hearing about the house’s history and recent renovation. Particularly loved the staircase made of oak and beautifully restored. The traditional wooden beds were comfortable and the shower was excellent. The room was furnished with traditional furniture which felt right but the bathroom was modern and smart looking

Stunning venue, amazing staff and lovely rooms which the photo's just don't do it justice. If ever we are back in the area, we'll definitely stay here again. The owners are warm and friendly and we can see why it's a popular place to stay

This place is exceptional, from the moment you step foot into it it feels like getting a warm embrace of your mother, it feels like home, the design and finish of the restoration work is1st class and the interior is very well accomplished and you can tell that the hosts have put a great deal of effort in. The pool was very clean and welcoming with lots of outdoor space.the grounds are the views are sublime.it is so well suited to couples too, my wife and I stood in the pool watching butterflies dance across the well groomed lawns and the stood together at night gazing at the stars in the dark skies, a moonlit night would have had a different aspect but just as beautifull.the hosts were warm and attentative and very pleasant to hold a conversation with. But they gave us room to feel like their home was ours too. So thankyou both. My advice is seek this out and visit, you won't be disappointed.

2 bathrooms, 2 very nice showers, full kitchen. 2 two person beds, 1 pull out couch and 1 mattress that we put on the floor for a teenager. Lots of separation so would work great for 2 couples. Very clean. Parking is on the street without problems.

There are walks to be had around the village, especially the charming Notre Dame de la Paix chapel. Saint Auvent, a very quiet little village, is the ideal starting point for visiting the surrounding area, particularly Saint Junien and Rochechouart, towns where you can do some shopping. We ate at the hotel restaurant.
