We arrived early, but were greeted in the most charming way by our hosts. Ludovine spoke English to us and we replied in French, which caused much amusement. I had common ground with Cyril as we both enjoyed and took part in motor sport. The guests’ building, which is part of their house, is cleverly designed. They built it themselves with care and flair- it really does work well.

The whole place is utterly charming. We stayed in the gîte and we loved it’s style and comfort. Pretty much everything you need for a few nights is there- washing up liquid, dishwasher and laundry tabs. Just touches that make it easy. WiFi was also good. The surrounding gardens are stunning and you are welcome to wander, lay in a hammock or play boules in a shady glade. Swinging from the rope chair or eating a beautiful, home-made breakfast supplied by Valerie on the terrace, it was all just so relaxing. The pool area is wonderful- a little piece of heaven.

A lucky find. We were very happy to have found Les Herbes Folles. Close to the motorway but very quiet and beautiful. The hosts were very friendly. We had a lovely breakfast. Guests have access to a kitchen area and patio. The room was lovely and comfortable. Recommended.

Amazing vineyard and the according château. Run by a very friendly english couple. The rooms are huge and the bed was so comfortable. In the morning we were served a generous and delicious breakfast in our own little dining room. If you need to have a break from it all it's the perfect place to relax. Only 20 min from Cognac. The bathroom isn't ensuite, (didn't bother us at all) but right next door. Definitely coming back for another stay.

We liked the location, only ten minutes from Cognac which was beautiful, a lovely pool and well equipped kitchen. Sylvie was a lovely host and left us to ourselves but offered any help we wanted. We had a great stay the place is so peaceful.
