It's a beautiful property in a lovely peaceful countryside location. We were fortunate to have great weather in which to enjoy the garden and the welcome drink from the hosts. The conversion of the building is wonderful as was the room. Everything was very comfortable and we slept well. Very dog friendly as well with easy walks for an old dog.

The hosts were very welcoming, the house was beautiful and cosy, we shared cultural stories, the room was clean and comfortable, the host made all of the breakfast foods, including the bread, jams, and yogjurt.

Very comfortable with every creature comfort catered for. The hosts even phoned the restaurant to make us a reservation for lunch. There was lots to keep our teenagers busy. Beds were really comfy.

The gite was spacious, quiet, private, comfortable and impeccably clean. The bathroom was lovely, the shower was gorgeous. The kitchen is very well equipped, with a large fridge. We slept really well in lovely sheets and a warm duvet. You can park just at the front door, ideal. The wifi worked very well. It was too cold to make use of the garden, the pool or the hot tub but hopefully we'll come back one day.

An unusual and very attractive house, and a comfortable bedroom with good facilities. The owners were most welcoming and very friendly, and were desperate to know if there was anything they could do to make our stay even better. They recommended a local pizzeria and other more upmarket eateries: great recommendations. An excellent and extremely plentiful breakfast. Altogether great - and there are red squirrels in the garden.

In quiet hamlet, rustic as it was described. Everything worked, plenty of hot water, heating good and settees comfy. Large bed. Owners on hand and were helpful and friendly. Bread milk and wine provided, bathroom had shower gel etc , kitchen had salt, pepper and little helpful bits. Good table football game.

It was such a joy to stay at the Château de la Chabroulie. Although we traveled as a couple, we booked the Family Suite to enjoy the luxurious bathroom in the tower, with an exquisite bath. The Château is very well maintained, with beautiful landscaping. The hosts were so welcoming and we appreciated them sharing their stories (we asked them) over breakfast. Très magnifique !

    The hosts are interesting and wonderful people.

    The hosts are interesting and wonderful people. The rooms are very comfortable. We really enjoyed the history of the place. It is a quiet village so plan on finding your dinner before you arrive. The breakfast was good including homemade yogurt and bread, excellent coffee and juice. Some of the other travelers were walking the Camino and other trails. Breakfast conversations were interesting with the other guests.
